I think that the main forces were some Western financial crooks that for once got upset on the behind of the woman, calling it sexist, but since they could not touch the Russians through direct attacks at home with propagandistic media they decided to boycott the Russians, basing their hopes on the chance of game coming out with bugs. And what if the most followed game on Steam worked with volunteers? Should they hire teams and then form big teams and then borrow money from the Western racketeering groups who would then leech them and blackmail to put abnormal ideologies until the day they would become insolvent? The game had many bugs to the point it could be called unfinished, but with a few good patches in a few months could have become a great thing. The idea of an extractor shooter in the zombies universe where you can play pvp as well as pve was very good.

Also how did you miss the fact that their bombastic language about commitment and stuff sounds like a true truthful parody of the Western games industry. No more than 10 years ago you could not rise your ahead above the horde on the Western Internet forums without been called a "sexist" or a "homophob" or whatever, and now look at you, the whole Western games and entertainment industry.
