he had mentioned that he had to change the rear brake centers out because they are different from the Z's ebrake hub. This is a rotor conversion I am really looking to do, and I see the 2 piece front brake set on your website but nothing about a set for the rears. would that be something that can still be ordered?

You need the rear set from a Q50 or Q60 to fit the hub size on the rear

What brake lines did you use and did u buy shorter banjo bolts. Your stock wheels fit without spaces? I just bought the akebono calipers, waiting for rotors to install. Just need to make sure what else I need

My QX had the Akebonos stock. I only changed the discs and had the calipers painted. I’m not sure on exactly what you’ll need. Ask the Facebook group Infiniti FX/QX. Cheers!

Looks cool! I've got a 2016 QX70S 3.7 and consider upgrading rotors and pads, mainly because of fading. Has anyone noticed shortened braking distance after upgrade?

I can’t speak from the smaller brake perspective the 2014 Qx70 comes with bigger brakes in the V8s model I had. I would imagine it’s much better over the stock v6 brakes

Hey man, were the calipers straight bolt on or did you have to do other mods to get them to fit?

They should be straight bolt on. The V8 models have e the upgrade calipers except they are painted silver so I ended up painting these.

Thanks, the 5.0 has the upgraded calipers stock, I got the z1 rotors from them directly. Also used G2 caliper paint 2M8 I believe. You can get the calipers off a q50 or q60 and add them they should bolt right up. Check eBay for cheap used ones then get them painted.

Hi I have a question Ive had a 03 FX 35 , 07 FX 35 and now I have a 2017 QX 70 S and I’ve had brake rotor warpage on all of these models. I’m very pissed at Infiniti for being CHEAP and did not put the big brakes in my car. I paid for a SPORT model! Unless they make a huge change I won’t be purchasing another Infiniti. My question to you is have you ever had this rotor warpage problem with your brakes before this install? I feel the big brakes would solve this. Thanks.

My big brakes warp also, I had warped rotors even on my 2 piece rotor setup, so I think maybe weight of vehicle requires even bigger brakes to be honest. So switching to big brakes it’s still gonna be an issue 30k miles down the road.

Mods And Coffee So even if I get slotted & cross drilled for cooling. Won’t make a difference? I have a choice to go with the big brakes for $1800 with everything. Or stoptech makes replacement rotors slotted & drilled. For like $400. The big brakes look a hell of a lot better. Your thoughts?

Get the big brakes, a set aesthetics and performance are worth it, I’ve got stop tech rear rotors they’re decent however warped currently lol 35k miles later lol. Do it tho!

Hey am thinking of jumping into the FX50 game,coming from an M35X,I wanted an M45S and I've seen a couple with very low mileage meticulously maintained and serviced by the dealership but the rod knock that plagues the VQ45 engine makes me wanna take a pass...the FX50 with it's racing motor makes it a better alternative...can you in a simplified form please list all the mods you did on your FX50 and where you bought them starting with the mesh gril,undertray all the way to the tailights.Thanks

Yes get the FX50 calipers same ones from a q50 red sport and then you can get the rotors & mounting bolts. Make sure your factory wheels can clear the big brakes. I would join the FB group Infiniti fx/ax and ask some more questions there.
