That was actually the first R.A. song I ever heard. I got the album immediately afterwards and it blew my mind. He's so overflowing with talent, honesty and comedy, there's a bunch of different styles on the album, lots of great features and just banger after banger. He has some great videos too and he's fun live. He's been touring europe quite extensively and I I'm always amazed when I find R.A. fans that tell me of concerts in Romania, France, Germany and all over the place.

Nice! I suggested it I discovered Rugged Man with Till my heart stops and Stanley Kubrick back in 96 / 97 and he allready was an underground legend. What a career. His latest album All my Heroes are dead is a gem.

Hell yeah, I love this song. He brings back how dope rap used to be, from back in the late 80s and early 90s.

There are so many adjectives that can be used to accurately describe the story of R.A.’s career that it’d probably be easier to just list those that can’t. For now though, I’ll simply say that his career has been… fascinating. On a similar note, it’s honestly amazing that R.A. has become the artist and person he is today - who’da thunk?

R.A is a legend. Fun fact here. R.A and Biggie used to be boys, way before Biggie blew up, they did a song together basically wrecking record labels and execs. However years later after Biggie blew up he dissed R.A and said the only reason he did that song with him was for the money.
@ABoomerReacts Жыл бұрын
What did RA have to say about that?
@uamini Жыл бұрын
@@ABoomerReacts By the way that has never been confirmed. There is a legendary interview that Biggie is supposed to have given to an obscure Canadian hip hop magazine in which he shares his opinion about several rappers and gives a couple of very negative answers. However this has almost become an urban myth as no one has ever been able to provide an original copy of that issue. Ra has said that he doesn't believe it was said because they were friends, however Biggie once get into trouble because some of E-40's people almost got to him since he was one of the rappers getting dissed in that interview. So even it if wasn't real it definitely had real-life repercussions.

@@ABoomerReacts I just remembered that Biggie had a run-in with KRS' brother Kenny Parker at the time (KRS was also on the receiving end of that interview). And apparently Biggie said that there had been an interview but that he didn't say all that stuff that the journalist wrote down and certainly not in those strong words. He also mentioned that he had been drunk at the time so who knows, maybe he did say more than he wanted to and the magazine just embellished his words. :)

I have heard that claiming to be the king of new york is an accursed claim, akin to saying macbeth on stage. It's basically considered a death sentence.

Not true. Eminem is a student of the game and has influences from near everyone. But, his Slim Shady persona is inspired by Cage Kennylz, who he claimed to not like.
