When you have natural red hair dying it can destroy it really easily, if you're not careful. It's best to leave it alone. She's right, a wig would sit weird with longer hair. Plus wigs can be expensive, itchy, hot, etc. She's completely right to not go.

Honestly as someone with ginger hair it made me really sad knowing that she expected her bridesmaid to dye her hair, felt entitled to argue that she should dye her hair, and was upset because she didn’t want to risk ruining gorgeous her red hair, and it very likely was out of jealousy. Just kills me inside. I’ve done hair modelling for hair dressing friends when they were at college, they styled my hair, won a local competition and we got to go to some massive international competition in Blackpool, essentially a really cool weekend in a foreign country (from Scotland) and to a place I’d never been too before! Never got asked to dye my hair, my hairdresser just asked that I don’t use hair product (I don’t anyway so this made it much easier) and that the morning of the competition she’d need to fully wash and dry my hair with a hair dryer. Not once was I expected or told to dye my hair, if anything she was extremely happy that I’m ginger. So yeah, it kills me knowing there’s this woman expecting a ginger to dye her hair, potentially damage her hair, somehow feels entitled to even ask this, and is likely jealous, it’s so fucking stupid and sad.

@@ZombieSazza yes. If someone told me I’d have to cut my hair off, I wouldn’t attend. My hair is almost mid-thigh after growing it out for 4 years and although it’s brown so I would have to chemically alter my hair in some form to get a real color shift, I just wouldn’t do it. For people with Virgin lighter hair, their hair takes in the pigment so well that even temporary color (not nearly as harsh as semi, Demi, or regular permanent color) can stay in the hair so long. The ONLY thing I could think of is using like brown Halloween type hair color spray but even that wouldn’t make for as neat of a look. My husband has natural ginger hair and it’s so beautiful that if my children come out with his hair genes, I’ll never color their natural hair and embrace the beauty of it.

Everytime my bestie bursts out (she get's more vocal and starts to scream instead of breaking things) she is so sad, frustrated and all about broken after. She really can't control herself and needs love, understanding an patience (she's in therapie as well). That last one reads weird to me. It's not like the normal "Oh, I came into some money and my SO is blatantly trying to get a cut" we see here all the time. She conveniently leaves out pretty much every detail about their life before the money and pretty much every detail about her boyfriend other than his suggestions that seemingly paint him in a bad light. Like, it's a hugely different story if they were both struggling to make ends meet then she gets this huge inheritance and basically just says, "Keep struggling peasant," towards him. The part about starting a joint savings especially stands out. She didn't say he wanted her to put her inheritance in it, just that they should start one. Which if your planning on being together long-term is not a bad idea. I mean, if I'm with someone for a year and a half, live with them, and am planning on continuing to do so, and all the sudden I've got enough money that just by slapping it into the S&P 500 I can net $400k a year (10% annual ROI historically), I'm not going to make them keep struggling to make rent while I sit on my ass drawing pictures and playing video games all day. That's kinda fucked up. Like, did she just shove this money into her bank account and plans to just dwindle away at it until she dies? I don't think there's enough info to make any judgement on that one.

@@mrFiiSKiiS I'm sort of amazed at how quickly your breakdown of things brings a whole new way to look at this. I agree. Another thing i don't hear talked about much is the following. (WARNING, this becomes a bit of a ramble). A proper long term relationship heading toward marriage, always has elements of power, control over each other, and that's how it is supposed to be. When i say power, i don't mean resorting to force, but what i mean is that through the love and care the person has toward you, you will naturally have input (power) and control in the relationship, in the form of them being concerned of what you want and need. Both persons should feel power (King and Queen analogy i guess), and if both are mature enough as people, and understanding enough of the needs of the other person, things should always work out. Also, i know our world is full of weird people, and some couples just choose to remain fairly independent from each other, and yet somehow they continue that way as if it's normal. That's fine if that's what they want to do, but i'd need more. Anyway, back to the story. To me, what is the purpose of dating, if it's not toward the goal of a union, even if we forget about marriage, but what commitment level was there, how mature are they, are they playing games? is there love? You don't need to be married for the relationship to start falling into place. To cut right to my conclusion. If this boyfriend is a decent guy, and he's mature enough, finding love is often trial and error, but in the process there is probably all the sparks (seeds) that potentially will become a long enduring flame. And if this is the case, then i'd understand if the boyfriend wants the girl to be quite sharing. But from the girlfriend perspective, don't rush if your not sure where this relationship is going, and if he shows increasing levels of commitment, then so can you (financial or otherwise).

Why should someone's hair color even have to he considered for a wedding color palette? One person's hair color shouldn't matter that much and a wedding is supposed to be a day of happiness, not strict rules on colors. All people should be able to enjoy a wedding and not be pestered to change something that's obviously important to them. Asking someone to change their hair (which is, for most people, a way to show who they are) or even hide it for a wedding is absolutely despicable. They are who they are and shouldn't have a bride tell them that they HAVE to be someone else for a day because it "doesn't match". That's not all, while dyeing your hair may not seem to be a big deal, however it is. It may be for "one day" however, it would take more than a single day before that dye is completely out of their hair. Also, some dyes could ruin a natural hair color and even literally can damage a person's hair. I believe there are some properties in the dye that can weaken the hair shaft bringing on a potential increase of hair breakage or loss of hair. My sister used to dye her hair a lot and since then, I still find tons of her hairs lying around the house (which I also tend to feel repulsed by touching or seeing hair strands not attached to a head). And then going on to hiding the hair with a wig, finding a comfortable and well-fitting wig that's a specific style and hair color can be pretty difficult. While you can easily find a wig online, the chances of it being comfortable and actually looking decent on you are pretty low. And say if the person felt uncomfortable even wearing a comfortably-fitting wig, that defeats the purpose of a wedding. During a wedding, people should be focused on being happy and having an overall good time, in which that experience could be ruined if you're uncomfortable wearing something unnecessary against your own will. All in all, what that bride tried to force on them was pretty wrong and unjustifiable.

Bright ginger hair would not ruin your colour scheme, you’re just worried that people would look at her more than they look at you. Yeah, Amy clearly left that part out and just mention that strawberry blonde will ruin the color scheme and the photos just to hope that people will take her side. That would also explain why she used Merida red to describe Ella's hair, when it really isn't as I imagined based on Ella's description.

I think you are unfair to the guy. As the post sugguests, they both have been together before the inheritage and the girl was not expecting to inherit wealth. So calling him a golddigger is a bit uncalled for, isn't it? To be fair, I am a bit torn about this one. First of all, he has not right to demand anything from her, neigher the rent, nor a joint account. If anything, it is her's to give, if she wants to. Having that said, depending on their situation it might be not unreasonable for her to pay the whole rent (the joint account however, totally is in my eyes). Why? In many relationships where both partners have a shared appartment, but different levels of income, it is common for an uneven contribution to basic costs. Lets shift that example a little and look at a situation, where one partner is working a cashier, the other one is working a lawyer. In a relationship where there is clearly an inequality in income, most people would probably agree, that their share on costs should not be equal. I think, a lot of people would call the lawyer cheap, if he demanded half the rent or expect for the partner to pay half on dates, ect. Most would agree, that he can afford to spend more in the relationship without expecting his lesser earning partner to do the same, even if it meant the partner to be struggleing. So again, depending on the circumstances with her having so much money put by, something like paying the whole rent alone should not be as much of a big deal to her. But it should be her free decision, if she is willing to do this, him demanding it or pressuring for it is unacceptable.

The Starbucks story: She was perfectly pleasant and spoke to the guest in a language that they seemed more comfortable in. That sounds like grade A customer service to me. EDIT: I totally forgot that I had a similar story happen when I was working at my university. It had a planetarium attached so I was the guy who ran the shows and everything. One day, my box office person didn't come in, so I had to cover ticket sales as well. While I was there, I had 2 hispanic ladies come up and ask for tickets. I had to clarify what type of ticket (Student, Senior, Kid, etc.), so I asked with my normal customer service voice "Two adult tickets?" Now, I don't speak Spanish. All I know is the Spanish that I learned in high school, and even then it's a bit fuzzy. I cant SPEAK it. I can understand the basic gist of most everything that is said. One of the ladies turned to the other and said (basically): "No shit, you fat dumbass," then just a polite "yes, two adults" in English. I ran the shows as well, so I closed box office up to get ready to start the show. While the computers were booting and I was getting things ready, I was searching google translate on my phone to make sure what I was saying was correct (or, at least if it wasn't, it would be funny regardless). I opened the doors and announced that the show was starting soon. The two ladies were off looking at a couple of the space posters on the wall. I waited for all the other guests to go into the dome, then stepped over to the ladies and said "Ma'am (I couldn't figure out how to properly say that in spanish and didn't wanna call her an elephant or something), la presentación comenzará en 5 minutos" Both of their eyes went wide and they looked at me in horror. I either got it right and they realized that I understood what they said, or I called them a goat. Either way, that look was so funny. tl;dr: Ladies called me fat and stupid in Spanish, I subtly let them know I knew what they said.

1st story: OP's kid needs to grow the hell up. He's months away from being a legal adult and has to learn that he can't use his parents as a crutch to enable his anger issues. 2nd story: You didn't have to straight up tell her that she wasn't attractive, could have simply said "I'm not attracted to you" or "I personally don't find you that attractive." She, however, also didn't have to straight up tell you that you weren't attractive. 3rd story: Fuck those racist assholes. If they don't want to act like family, they don't get to call themselves family. 4th story: If you get flack for your sass, you can claim that you felt he'd be more comfortable completing his order in Dutch, and you were both able and willing to accommodate him. 5th story: Bride's definitely in the wrong here. That's her cousin's _natural_ hair color. I can understand if maybe it were a new color that she'd recently gotten, and even then it seems like a weird request, but no. Is she asking anyone with any other hair color to do this? No, it's just Ella's hair, and it's her natural hair. What I honestly hope happens is that Amy sees that she's in the wrong, apologizes to Ella, and Ella goes to the wedding. Maybe the mention of Disney princesses is making me too optimistic, though. 6th story: You've been together a year and a half??? Fuck him, he ain't entitled to shit. And I can guaran-damn-tee that if you started a joint account with that inheritance, he'd be using it for way more than just rent. He'd spend the money on him and claim he was spending it on "us."

If I ever get married [highly unlikely] it'll be a civil ceremony and a small reception after. All I need. Some women talk of their "dream" [aka "unrealistic fantasy"] wedding - ie HER dream, not the groom's - on which she's prepared to spend thousands - and then she'll wake up and realise that she's broke and can't afford to set up her "dream" home. Of course, a lot of these brides seem to expect other people to shell out those thousands!

The one where the bride asked her cousin to dye her hair.. asking people to dye their hair is actually really personal, as people have a very strong psychological attachment to their hair. Not to mention how a good wig can be really expensive and that’s a lot to drop for a single wear. Also, red/red tinted hair often looks phenomenal with the shades of blue and green that I’d associate with a “peacock theme,” especially the blue, so the bride was just a clown all around.
@athenastewart9167
@athenastewart9167 4 жыл бұрын
Which is probably the real point of the whole thing. The bridesmaid would have looked amazing in those colors, as they are very complimentary to red hair; the bride didn't want the bridesmaid to get more attention. Asking someone to die their hair for one day? Absolutely the a*hole.
@ondiiina
@ondiiina 4 жыл бұрын
@@athenastewart9167 Plus she also seemed to have a problem with the length of the hair. A "short bob brunette wig" is ultra specific and sus. The bride probably thought that the cousin wouldn't look good with it or she would at least look "invisible"/not standing out. It's obvious she's insecure and jealous. That's why she's so ridiculous and makes outrageous demands. The worst is that it's possible she knows it would ruin her cousin's hair. At this point, she plainly hates her for some reason since she doesn't have a problem with her other cousin's hair. Maybe because she's pregnant and thus not "competition"? So yeah. She's DEFINITELY the asshole. She's sabotaging her cousin's appearance. I do hope that the cousin would go to the wedding, look STUNNING but also a pleasant guest just to piss her off. That's petty but it also down the drama in their family and make everyone happy except for the bride (who will be in no place to complain or be mad because she's look even more like a brat and be shunned by everyone). I doubt security will stop her. Not only because she's family but because it was probably an empty threat.

For the one about being having an Asian kid I had an almost identical situation when my daughter was to be born. The night before I was to go into the hospital to have my daughter my mother screamed at me from the moment I woke up until I was hospitalized for the stress she put me under. Called my fiancé and I the n word because we were seeing a chiropractor and apparently only that type of person sees one (we were both in a wreck the week prior with back injuries) said that blacks and whites don’t mix essentially blamed me for my father not being there for the birth of his first grandkid implying it was because I was with my fiancé. My fiancé is black. My daughter is biracial. The reason my mother blew up on me was because I said I didn’t want people smoking around my newborn. According to her only ‘n’s are against that and she hates my fiancé’s entire family because of that despite me being the one to make that decision. I entirely agree with fully cutting off a family like that. When you have mixed kids you don’t put up with any kind of racism from your family (from anyone for that matter). Even if it doesn’t ultimately involve your kid. If someone will say something about another person they’ll say it about your kid too. Maybe just behind your back. Family or not. A racist does not deserve to be in anyone’s life.

It's especially true for the time we got married. We were in our mid 20's and broke as a joke. When our friends got married, we had to take money from our food budget to pay for everything. I certainly didn't have the money to go to Vegas or take a bachelorette party on a cruise. What brands? My mum won't let me permanently dye mine, so if those take forever to wash out, sign me up lol

Because it washes out in seven washes, for most people it lasts a week or two, for you it lasts a month.

@@infiredkitty7_army344 I dyed my hair (blue) with lime crime brand and it lasted almost 7 or 8 months (give or take as it did fade a bit) but it lasted me a long while, and they have a more temporary formula as well :)

I really don't get why people go so mental over weddings. Seriously, just have fun with the one you love, marriage is just for documentation.

As a natural dark auburn headed woman can confirm "washes out in 4-6 or 8-10 weeks" is total BS. Last time I did temp dye it took over six months to mostly, somewhat wash/ fade/ grow out and there is still some down near my ends... I "temp" dyed my hair in May of 2018.

Then there is me where I have chocolate brown hair and no matter how lightly I bleach my hair, nothing sticks for more than 2 weeks at best. Hair dye sucks.

@@10Raccoon I feel like the devil is involved in that industry as well as women's lingerie/ clothing industry. Why else would everything we need cost 2-3x what the men pay.

6:56 As a parent, it is good to protect your child from harm. You made a good choice. Though you will eventually have to talk with your daughter about them.

Oh no I would 500% disown my family if they treated my husband and newborn child like that. Nope.

I'd like to see you try to do every single story here in one take, with a playful puppy around. He uses the first take when possible, and rerecords those that are interrupted. Seems fairly obvious.
