The song sounds cheerful but when you learn the lyrics it’s just sad.
This platoon may included 1/3 Korean Japan army soldiers. During war there existed 400,000 Korean Japan troops among Japan force. Some of them got high post of Japan military. Famous Korean Japan force officer was president Park,Chonhee. He was a lieutenant colonel of Japan army until 1945. The highest post Korean officer of Japan force was Hong, Saik. He was a general commander of all Japan force in Philippines. He was lieutenant general of Japan army until 1945. He was executed in in Manila in 1947 as Japanese army officer. By his order Japanese troops fought in Philippines.

@@CommissarChaotic He's talking about South Korean President Park Chung-hee and Japanese collaborator general Hong Sa-ik who both served in the Imperial Japanese military during the occupation of Korea from 1910-1945.

@@joseph346 I see... I just saw the 'By his order Japanese troops fought in the Philippines' and I am from there so I just went hmmm... Best not to think about it though, my life is not exactly scarred by Japanese occupation or anything, though probably because I'm in the southern parts so I guess that's that.

Japanese military also did humanitarian missions in Firipin to feed starved children, help, rescue civilians, and protect them death from enemy's fire. But this is erased in history, because not match west's one-way propaganda.
@kaisermuto2 жыл бұрын
@@joseph346 All Japanese soldiers fought in Philippines under Korean general commander Hong,Saik. Hong saik was from a casual origin people. He was extreme clever young man , so he could be an alumna of Japan army college by his own effort. Japan never discriminate person who is an able man. Japan was equal. His grade was lieutenant general of Japan army. But eventually he was executed in Philippines in 1947. If he was alive he must be a president of whole Korean peninsula.

This was actually written as more of a song against militarist wars of aggression. The fact that it became a legit patriotic song is just a testament to how fucked up Japanese society was.
