I'm glad you have found Tokyo it's a massive city full of adventure and discovery. KZbin demonitised my channel because of this video.

@@JapaneseHistory Seriously? That's terrible. KZbin has grown into a faceless, non-caring entity.

Great to see what Shibuya looked like in the 1960s. Thanks for sharing 😊😊
Japan suffered light casualties compared to other nations.

I love Japanese films from the 50s and 60s. They have a lot of humility, heart and kindness. People of the war generation who had the opportunity to live in the country after the war with all its consequences. Beautiful people, noble. Where diligent work was the cure for post-war pain. This is the Japan I love and bless😍

I was born in Shibuya 1968. Grew up in Shibuya. Since then, Japanese society had changed to more more democratic and achieved equality. But, sadly it seems, we have deteriorated our moral catastrophically.
Mr. Japanese History, where have you been!? This video is very nostalgic for me as I can just barely remember those pea green Tokyu Toyoko Line trains. I always called it the T.K.K. Line as those were the company initials displayed on the side. My parents and I were lived in Daikanyama for six months when I was a toddler. When we went back when I was in kindergarten they were being phased out and replaced with boring stainless steel trains.
Когда-то женщины были женщинами, а сейчас они все больше подражают мужчинам. Но мужчины не умеют рожать детей. Поэтому во всех развитых странах происходит депопуляция.
The colors of these 60s Japanese movies are so aesthetic 😍

Yes there were a couple of black and white clips, but I chose to stick with all colours.

Very nice compilation of films and places. Could it be possible for you to give us some of the names of the films? They certainly look interesting! Tokyo has changed a lot since the sixties.
I guess the crazy cats' movie at 09:03 was shot on Sakura Street as well. They frequently had shooting there in other Crazy Cats movies, too. I read somewhere that Sakura Street was restored in the early 1990s, so there were not many sakura trees in the 1960s.
классно, атмосфера старых французских, итальянских и советских фильмов =D Так отличается от привычных японских картин. От них веет теплом и ностальгией
I want to visit Tokyo before it becomes Cyberpunk Capital but after The Great Japanese Empire... Should I draw my own Manga?

They really came a long way in such a short period of time. The German (pre-wall coming down) did also. Why can't other people in this country do the same? Why can't other countries do this?
