1:31 Adding to RSlash’s point, alcohol doesn’t make you do stuff against your will. It lowers inhibitions, shuts down that voice that says “Uh actually that’s not a good idea.” So drunk dad wanting to kiss his daughter always had that desire - a MAJOR red flag.

@tiryaclearsong421 Жыл бұрын
@@kaitlynhenson7157 It is mostly true. There are semi caveats. Basically alcohol impairs the filter between what you think impulsively and what you say and do. So you might say things that are meaner or harsher than you meant to be or come out differently than you meant. Think of it like how hard it is to meaningfully communicate with someone who is very sleep deprived. They might be overly emotional and not make a lot of sense. They might lash out like a toddler if you try and take their keys or put them to bed. They also might be very suggestable and vulnerable to any predators. However, just because every single thing they say or do isn't literally something they believe deep down, doesn't excuse most behavior people try to blame on being drunk. Generally, if you are a bad drunk then you have to learn to never get past tipsy. I am an argumentative drunk. I like fighting with people over nothing. So I am a two drinks max person. When I'm sober it doesn't even occur to me to argue with people about nothing and be a giant pedant just to stimulate my brain. Unfortunately drunk me finds it amazingly fun. But that is also a super minor issue. A bit worse than suddenly deciding Taco Bell is the best restaurant ever and you need to eat five days worth of food from there at 3am, but also not much worse. Because alcohol doesn't fundamentally change you as a person.

@@Masenken Honestly, some women would do ANYTHING to cling to a relationship, including putting their kids at risk. He was manipulating the mom sure, but it takes a certain kind of woman to be willing to cave to that I feel. I was very close to a girl who had a similar parent. Mom was with a super abusive guy (her Dad) who beat her and the siblings. She made all the money, he didn't work, and refused to acknowledge the abuse to her kids until she found another guy (this is how she told the story mind you, she met another guy who "showed her what love was") and jumped ship. Sadly next guy was a child predator and when my friend told her mom he had started molesting her nightly. She firstly didn't believe her and said it was "Satan" putting thoughts in her head. Then got a weird bout of jealousy...Yeah. The girl's aunt told her mom to leave him because he was obviously a creep and the mom's defense was "No, I can't keep starting over. I know he's the one for me!" etc. etc. She passed away a little over a decade ago when my friend was 14 (this started when she was 8 mind you). Believe me when I say we're both happy the one willing to enable the abuse is gone just as much as the abuser.

Yeah this is a pedo stalker type they link to a minor generally a easy target like one attached to a single mom then they love bomb,gaslight,and entrap the mom in a conartisty way to get to be close to their target this one was aware of law so waited until his chosen victim was legal. Many more can't control their fantasy obsessions thus didle and the obsession moves to the next kid etc hence why many kids report it being more then one victim. Its basically the main male con in relationships Like the baby trap being the female to con. And is a big reason both single moms and single men fear getting into relationships these days because all the good ones are either hermits or already taken so those who are left tend to be creep conartists.

Story 1: Wow. Just . . . Wow. I can't imagine being that mother or being the step parent in that scenario and just being okay with it. That is disgusting beyond belief. Story 2: You see this, this is why you don't get married that young. Even after two years of dating. Me and the man in my life confessed when we were 19. As of this November, we'll have been in the talking stages for two years. We're going much slower than one would suggest, but we're still taking it slow. If we had started dating when we were 20, I wouldn't be jumping into marriage at 22. I also don't know what I'd do if my husband was cheating on me with my best friend. Personally, my best friend doesn't have those kinds of standards but just hearing your partner or spouse say, "Oh, your best friend (or even family member) is more attractive than you but because they had someone else, I settled for you," even without the cheating just shatters your self esteem, your whole world. They're supposed to be the only person's opinion you care about, the person who's supposed to love you inside and out and who'll want to tell you how wonderful you are. They're not supposed to make you sound second fiddle to your best friend or even their own. Story 2 the husband's side: Sir, what you say makes you sound worse in comparison to your wife. Also, why don't you just talk to her. Get your face out of your screen and just talk and explain things to her like a normal human being. Granted, your first bad move wasn't not saying anything. IT WAS OPENING YOUR MOUTH AND SAYING HOW YOU SETTLED FOR YOUR OWN WIFE, YOU JERK!!!! The man is an idiot.

Some dug through reddit....and apparently in the comments of his post he admitted that he and Sarah had been sleeping together during like 4 years of their marriage but it stopped when Sarah got married. (Which explains why she handled things the way she did...cuz I initially found the "intervention" odd) and he said a number of other things that showed him to be a completely self absorbed narcissist who legit thought his post was putting the blame on his wife. (He truly thought the world would see it as her having done him wrong by not being exciting enough for him...he thought the world would agree he didn't need to participate in his own marriage to make it work) His main character syndrome had him thinking that people not catering to him would be seen by strangers around the globe as awful. 🤣🤣🤣 so you are more right than you ever could have guessed by calling his intelligence into question. Story 1: I unfortunately am going through a similar issue. Instead of my stepdad, it’s my step brother. I have pretended to be okay with his presence for years since he s*xually assaulted me (when I was a minor, he was in his late 20s) The night it happened, I called my actual brother and he came over with a golf club. My mom was literally acting conflicted and trying to defend him saying he’s drunk and just lost his wife. I’m 21 now, I’ve finally started being strict with my boundaries with my parents. It’s hard. It’s so hard. They aren’t supportive. My mom has told me to let go of the past so many times and how I’m dramatic, even going as far as saying what happened didn’t happen. He’s invited to all family events and I know it’s going to be extremely hard with this. I’ve tried making boundaries the first year I moved out, but I just wanted to keep the peace. I had to see him recently bc my grandparents hold a Christmas thing. Nobody else knows what he did to me, other than my parents and my actual brother and his wife. I’m too afraid to talk about it. I know if I did and they were to stop inviting him to stuff, my mom would be blaming me left and right. I have so much abuse stories. It’s extremely hard setting boundaries because I know how abusive my dad was to her and my brother (will absolutely not get into that.) I don’t wanna be around my stepbrother at all, he made a gross comment about my chest last Christmas in my own house. I’ve legitimately pretended to be okay with being around him for the sake in not losing my parents and to keep the family at peace because I cannot mentally handle what would pursue.. I finally did, he isn’t invited to my Christmas, i ignored him and stayed far away from him at my grandparents and stuck by my brother and his wife. (Also my brother currently has my mom cut off completely, and mom makes that my problem all the time by constantly trying to get me to talk for her and get his new address and just shit I will NOT do.) I love my mom so much, she’s a very generous woman and tbh I’m mentally attached to her her but she’s so awful and she doesn’t respect me. My mom and stepdad help me with groceries sometimes when I struggle, I tell them not to but they send money which makes it harder for me to know what to do about anything. She allowed me to be abused by another family member physically for the entirety of my teen hood because she didn’t wanna lose them. She denies any abuse ever happened, unless when she’s the victim, then it’s important. I just wanted to relate a bit with the story since I’m currently going through hell with my parents regarding boundaries. I don’t wanna cut them off but I may end up having to and that crushes me. Again, there’s so much context and a lot of stories I have. But I just wanted to share something I relate with a little. I’m glad I’m not alone but at the same time, it’s awful. Nobody deserves to of through any of this sort of thing. (Also apologies if my grammar or anything was shit, I’m sleep deprived and it’s hard to type right now. Thank you for listening)

Thank you for reading the first story despite everything, Dabney. Sometimes people need an opportunity to see reality as it truly is, especially if they've been raised a certain way. Of course OP initially didn't want to talk bad about her parents, they're the ones who have raised her. That's also why it's forgivable for now that she (I would say accidentally) used some transphobic language herself; she was raised by transphobes so that stuff takes unlearning. Hopefully she and her siblings can make that progress together while they're healing from everything they've been through.

For the second story, i though that you had read the story before, then there's the husband's side. To be honest, I love it when posts intertwine like this. More drama + entertainment

I am so happy to hear the conclusion of that first story. Not every country has the same laws surrounding it, but I believe that trying to have sex with someone to who you are the caregiver is illegal. Abuse of power, grooming, all that and more. Even if someone is above the age of 18, this is still a form of child predator even. And as the story unfolded itself, it appears that he's been setting something like this up ever since she was like 14. The scariest part is that if op was a bit more malleable and insecure, and stepdad was smarter about it, he might have gotten away with it. 14 year olds are more impressionable then they think after all. And if he's actually trying to influence those girls at age 14, then it's a good thing that they are all out now because he'd just continue on to the next one. That last story: "that's my first mistake", boy I was already at like 4 at that point?

The last two stories about husband settling for OP when he couldn't have Sarah: Apparently, OP's husband and Sarah were sleeping together FOR FOUR YEARS of OP's marriage until Sarah herself got married! These two people are the scum of the earth for what they did to OP, and he honestly thinks OP would stay with him after finding out??

Before watching RSlash: "Man, my sleep was great, my breakfast was good, life is perfect!" After watching today's video: *furious drywall smashing noises*

Story one never assume that someone won't touch the younger children because of their age. My mom thought my ex step father was being inappropriate with her and tried to get her to go to the police but she was to scared. What my mom didn't realize is that he had been doing the same thing to me since I was 3. It came out finally when I talk to a friend about why i was upset that he was asking for me to come over to his new place after they separated. And she freaked out letting me know that it was not normal and that I should talk to my mom but when I tried to talk her about it but she didn't really believe me so I didn't really tell her. My friend told her father and turns out that her father was a cop and my step father was arrested soon after and I was free. My mom just said that she never thought he would touch me as he promised. I love my mom but I still don't understand why she would never talk to me when she new that my sister was being hurt. My sister was 15 and I was 10 when it stopped.
