I have heard this at least five times and it never gets old. Everyone should listen to it. My other favorite is The Rescuer by Voddie Baucham. I miss this great man of God who is making Jesus laugh. Unfortunately I took God's grace for granted for years until I finally fell while drunk and broke my neck. Thank the Lord I never fell through the slats and ended up in hell! And I can't imagine how God feels about today's man-centered concert " worship ".

You should put ALL hope, trust, love and worship with ALL your heart soul mind and strength in the Father YHWH and HIM ONLY shall you serve. Matthew 4:10 and 1st and greatest commandment. Jesus spoke FOR the Father as his voice in the earth, not of himself as he clearly stated. Worshipping a man as God Almighty is idolatry of the highest order. Deut 13. The false doctrines of Rome led the whole church into the great lie and abomination we were specifically warned against. "I even I am YHWH beside ME there is NO SAVIOR" Isaiah 43:11, there is NO OTHER, Isaiah 45:5-7. Repent and return to the Father like Jesus taught us. (Prodigal Son Parable). Jesus is our brother not our creator.

This isn’t a sermon, it’s a lecture, so I think it’s appropriate that I recognize Sproul’s wonderful public speaking. His jokes at the intro make these conferences so fun for people to attend. Couple that with his expository communication skills, make Sproul one of the greats, to be listed along with the likes of Hodges, Warfield and perhaps even Edwards.

Just before I read this I was wondering the difference between teaching and preaching or lecture and sermon and you're right. This is a teaching. A sermon admonishes the congregants and informs of sinfulness or holiness.
