I remember little old ladies with sandwich or quart sized bags of expired coupons, and after I would refuse the expired coupons (sometimes years old) that wouldn't scan, they would demand I not throw them away and that I give them back, so they could try to scam someone else. And they would hold up the line for like 30-60 minutes trying coupon after coupon. I really enjoyed being patient with them and refusing them, b/c they were trying to make me frustrated / mad so I would just override the prices and give them the discounts, but then it backfired on them. :D

That is not a bad theory, it would explain why his growth was the biggest. But it does not explain the overall growth of the other "r/" KZbinrs lately. Though, thinking about it more as I type. It is very possible that by watching his videos, the algorithm responds by showing more "r/" videos from others. Which would cause a cycle to occur. I'm not SUPER interested in r/, not that much, and I find his delivery to be part of what makes it so fun. Needless to say, I'm not really interested in the others, no offense meant as I'm sure they do a great job. This is just something I listen to on occasion to chuckle when I'm not in the mood for a creepypasta reading or let's play, not a genre I'm completely looking for exactly. I listen personally usually because I'm down, life's been kicking me, and I need something simple to listen to and chuckle about while doing digital art. Real or not, you kind of get some sort of stress relief through proxy as you hear people who are acting like jerks get what's coming to them, and the stories are simple enough to process and listen to even without 100% attention. I'm guessing that's why they're taking off honestly, the world is stressful right now and it feels good to hear about people getting theirs. Same reason day dreams are appealing in a way maybe?

I've seen some young children who didn't quite get how the money system worked fully, but were very easy to work with and teach as they played. I've seen older children who did know how it worked and absolutely would try to wear people down to get a deal. I'd rather play with the former than the latter. I do take offense at some comments that says “why are all single moms such Karens?!” I am a single mom of 4, (24,21,12 and 10), struggling on disability, but would NEVER behave like a Karen, nor would my kids behave like these entitled brats!! Since I always been poor working class(orderly in nursing home), studying full time in Uni while working part time while my oldest kids were young..., I could never afford much. This I explained to my kids from a young age, and they never came to expect anything expensive for birthdays or Christmas. On my son’s 6th birthday I had saved up to buy him a mini TV and a DVD(got it to a good price as well), I remember the tug in my heart when he said: -“But Mommy, this is way too expensive!! Are U sure that U have money left for bills and stuff?!” Hearing him at such a young age being concerned about my finance made my cry...no child should have to consider this, but my Spirit Child, always sensitive to his surroundings had picked up more than I wished him to. Smiling through the tears I assured him that I had more than enough money left and that he should enjoy his gift, not thinking about stuff like that, which he did. After that I tried to not bring up our money situation unless they asked for something pricey, then I just said that they could wish it for b-days or Christmas. But it stuck with them through the years and as soon as they were old enough they took on summer jobs, earning their own money for the extra things the wanted. Now it’s the younger sisters turn to learn the same lesson, and my 12 yo works in the garden with her dad, helps around the house, earning money like grass(pun intended). So I feel I have done a pretty darn good job raising my kids, without being a Karen or them turning out to be entitled brats.
