@docdoc: Thanks for the comments. This video was recorded with a better mic, which we're still learning to use. Basically I am a raspy flamenco guitarist, so the guitars I play all have my raspy character. I'm afraid its the player who needs improvement, not the mic.

hi richard the sound problem (not a biggie) is definitely not your superb playing. Just place the mic in close to the guitar... six inches off the twelfth fret pointing towards the hole? I use a rode m2 for my instrument. very rich and warm tones. lovely demo!

you know, for all your videos I've seen, it's such a shame you don't set up a decent mic. it's almost a disgrace to these guitars to be recorded in a way where they all sound like steel strings...
