My R.E.M. Playlist! • R.E.M.
In this Man On The Moon guitar chords lesson video, I will show you how to play this great R.E.M. song off of their incredible Automatic For The People album.
The tuning is standard tuning, E A D G B E.
The chords used in "Man On The Moon" are mostly basic open position chords with a B minor barre chord thrown in there as well. So hopefully, nothing that will keep you from getting this song down relatively quickly.
I am just focusing on the underlying chord progressions and not covering all of the slide guitar parts or guitar fills.
I will go through each section of the song in the order that each appears on the original recording.

One of the first songs I learned to sing and play at the same time. Not a massive REM fan, but let's face it, their hits were hits for a reason. Great band great music. Love playing this. Thought I'd check it out, to make sure I was playing it right. I use a normal D chord with an added note. But pretty much the same. 😊
