@@DrYeet2704 Yes on revenge, no on bodily harm. OP should get EVERY little bit of evidence gathered, even a recording of the ED’s confessions, then take him straight up to court and sue him for property damage, theft of money and identity theft, maybe even theft of money because of Brother! Then OP should tell EVERYTHING to the judge, presenting them with the evidence and recordings, all while glaring at the ED and Family as he talked. I would’ve LOVED to see the look on their sorry faces as they realize but by bit that they’re digging their own graves deeper and deeper. THEN when OP wins the case, not only should he smile a smug victorious smile as his Dad and Brother are arrested while the EM is crying, THEN as the cherry on the revenge sundae, he should flip his family off and post his story on his social media, with the final words to his entitled family “I HOPE using MY car and taking MY money was SO WORTH the time you’ll have in jail AND being cut out of my life! Too much dialogue in the office. First mention of egg donation should have been met with a simple, "No." Further attempts at conversation should have ended the appointment with telling those people to leave. Not even making a joke, I've WITNESSED a case like this. Point where a woman asked a good friend to donate because they knew the friend was of healthy and good lineage from both families, so child would have less chance for inherited diseases. More than probable, they'd more than definitely try to also go as "personal donor" because that doesn't leave as much paperwork, so less chance to prove that egg was donated. At worst they could even start spinning a lie that the child is of OPs, just abandoned, and they took them in as "faithful good Christians" in attempt to make it so OP has to pay child support and whatnot. Seen it happen once, though in that case the person who had the kid merely demanded donor to come help taking care of the baby because "it was donor's child, too, so they need to take responsibility for their actions".

I always reply with "Jeffrey Dahmer was raised by his biological parents." Usually shuts them up. Makes me SO angry that people think it takes DNA to make a family. My older brothers have a different biological father - he used to get drunk and beat the crap out of our mom, then abandoned her for an 18 year old and never paid child support or tried to see the kids. Then mom met dad (on a blind date no less) and as soon as they were married he was helping my brothers with their homework, taking care of them when they were sick and/or injured, teaching them things like how to fish and basic car maintenance, and giving them all the love and support a parent should give their child. I think it's different in a medical setting. Obviously it's one thing if you require urgent life-saving medical care, but with elective procedures they absolutely can turn you away if you're making them uncomfortable. (Heck, most orthodontics offices maintain a policy that they can fire you if you don't stick to the dental hygiene regiment they require.) I suspect a large part of the problem here was that OP was still in her residency and was hesitant to rock the boat too much, even when it was entirely deserved. It sounds like she was uncomfortable but for the first visit at least she felt she could dismiss them and put the situation behind her, so she probably just didn't want to make a "big deal" out of it. I'm glad during the second one she finally got up and walked out to let another staff member ensure they left the building. ETA that I'm American. Yes some of the Karen's are getting out of control and many big companies just enable them. But I think we're starting to see more and more places, particularly small businesses, that are standing up for their right to refuse service to anyone.

@@ismae-rienne4991 here is what I told my then 17 year old when she was working her first job & this happened to her. "Wow, that person must be deeply unhappy & we should pity them. If everything is going great in your life & you feel like you have power, you aren't going into a retail store to yell at someone who can't fight back just for you to feel somewhat important. What a sad & pathetic person." She thought about it for awhile, realized I was right & now, when someone is yelling at her, she is smirking behind her mask where they can't see & she goes ultra sweet. This has made every single person even more mad because the goal for them is to either ruin someone else's day or to make someone cower & my 5 foot, 100 lb, 12 year old looking daughter isn't doing that..."how dare she. Doesn't she know who I am" (Uh, no, obviously). The best part though is that they have got nothing to get her in trouble for. The one time someone tried to make something up, she just silently pointed up at the very clear camera pointing toward where they were & said "they have sound". That guy stomped his foot & left. If you remember why people are behaving this way, it can help. It's the one place in their life where they can feel like they have won something against someone & it's only against people who literally aren't allowed to say anything back. If you think about it, those people are pretty pathetic. Good luck.

Your comment about the mother using her pram to block someone reminded me of something I saw a few months ago. A young couple with a baby in a stroller were hailing a bus. The bus didn't look as though it was going to pull over at the stop, so the father pushed the stroller (with baby still in it) in front of the bus while waving to block its path. I couldn't believe my eyes!! The bus stopped of course but I wonder what was going through the driver's head. What if he hadn't been able to stop???

Sorta reminds me of a customer at my retail job (probably mid 20s or so), he was walking around without a mask and i asked him if he can put it on. He says how it's harder to breath in it and that it stinks. I tell him not to worry and that dental care and mouthwashes are a few isles on the left. The look on his face was great and walked away, tho i could hear him chuckle (yes, he put the mask on aswell).

Alright, I'm a dude so, donation for me is pretty straightforward and it's safe to say I got a lot of practice as a teen. But, it is something else entirely more difficult for women to donate. Not only is it invasive surgical procedure that, like all surgeries, carrys a huge risk of permanent damage and even death, ovaries only have a limited number of eggs. You don't just extract one egg ethier, 7 is the typical number (part of the reason why IVF often results in multiple birth, the implantation process is done with a number of fertilised eggs not just one, as it maximizes the chances of it working). There isn't even a guarantee that, even if everything goes perfectly and smoothly that the egg would produce a viable pregnancy, or that the pregnancy would go to term without issue. It's not like that kind of fertility treatment is like making an omelette. OP should get a restraining order against those crack-pots. The stalking and harassment should be enough. I can only assume they are trying to pressure OP because they have no intention of paying for the donor eggs or any of the medical expenses she would incur if she hit her head and agreed to this insanity.

(30, baby was planned, very wanted, very loved, already spoiled). He said that he would happily take the baby off my hands because his wife “wanted one” and they couldn’t have a baby. I thought it was a joke until he asked me when I was due and said “oh yeah, we can get our foster license by then.” and offered me money and looked at me like I should have been drooling at the mouth. And then stalking said stranger's family online to try and find out more about them so you can keep harassing them. Honestly it sounds like 'horror movie killer' territory.

A simple logic on my part. "If you are a good Christian and God would want you to be rewarded specifically with something for it, they'd organized it so that you'd get it without needing to ask, for they'd know it already to be needed". The fact that anyone has to ASK using their good faith behavior as reason undermines the entire point. You aren't being good Christian at that point, for your faith is not pure and undemanding. You are just using social status points trying to win people over.

For those that don't know. Donating eggs is a vastly different procedure from donating sperm. You have to be on hormone treatments for at least a week, and if that doesn't work, then there is a month long preparation and then two weeks of hormone treatments. This is to grow several eggs to a large enough size at once, because there is no guarantee that a harvested egg is viable. it's very common to only have like 10-20% of the harvested eggs be viable. If you're lucky, you don't get over stimulated by the hormones, but if you do, you'll be in a lot of pain for several days. Then, if everything goes well, you have to have a massive needle poked into your ovaries to pull out the eggs. You get a local anesthetic, but it's usually very painful anyway. So yeah, it's not something you just ask a random stranger to go through and kudos to the women who actually do it for others. I would guess most of the donated eggs are the ones that are left over and not used by the mother, if she had IVF herself.

I don't feel like the store employees would have any like legal standing to be allowed to force the Karen off the elevator in the last story. Like morally yeah the handicapped woman should have gone down first but like they can't drag the Karen off the elevator. So I can't personally hold not wanting to get in legal trouble against said employees.

I know its a joke that Americans go "sue everything" but the story with the dad, even as someone almost on the other side of earth, my mind just goes "sue, then break all kind of contact with them" just assuming alone that the car was sold for 3k and the dad spent the money, he effectively stole 10k from his son. even if the son isn't getting the money back, it would put his father in a place where they can't abuse other people like this on very solid grounds

Second story.... at what point do you call the cops?! If for no other reason than to make a report so when the guy who received stolen property files his..... seriously, am I the only one worried about OP's legal safety in all this? Not to mention the lost money from the accident and selling of the vehicle.

well, yeah, but thats just the toxic american business cutlure i would think. people who treat service staff like crap, but never get any flak because "the customer is always right". many countries have a culture problem in that regard, but i would imagine the usa are the worst on that front.

Talking about using a pushchair/stroller as a barrier ... the number of times I've seen people with one crossing roads between parked cars - the parent is still safely between the cars while the baby is pushed out into the road when the parent can't see clearly if the road is actually clear.

Oh rslash, it’s cute that you think people don’t use their strollers as weapons and shields ALL the time. Never go to Disneyland. I’ve almost had my knees and ankles taken out by strollers pushed by entitled parents and park goers who think if they can afford Disneyland, they are entitled. I’ve literally yelled “GOOD JOB USING YOUR KID AS A WEAPON” to a woman who knowingly pushed her stroller into my knees and then kept walking without acknowledging me. I work a warehouse job and I had a Disneyland pass too. You’re not special, lady

How right you are. Hubby and I were at DW a couple of years ago for our fortieth anniversary, and those stroller wielding parents are nutcases. Talk about get-out-of-my-way entitled b's. And the ones with the side-by-side types for two kids are unbelievable.

I've witnessed more than a few parents using their strollers as literal battering rams in crowded areas, buses, elevators, etc. Some have that autopilot expression and others have that 'Get out of my way, I have a baby!' expression. Then comes the freak out after an impact about how someone could have hurt their baby. Now I know why some stroller models are practically tanks.

If OP in the first story hasn't already filed a harassment and cyberstalking report, she definitely should. Karens are quite renown for their persistence and won't just end things with a "no" or being verbally dismissed. Frankly both Karen and her sister was showing huge creep alarms with their bizarre request, privacy-invasive questions and the overly "friendly" way that the sister started touching OP's hair in. That could very well be considered sociopathic behavior. I also want to say that no way in heck was the elevator Karen not being racist. Her saying "I'm claustrophobic", in an *elevator* of all things, is just code for "I don't like standing next to _black_ people!". It really couldn't be more transparent than that. Also rSlash, don't look too much into the mental capacity of an entitled parent. Like criminals, they don't think like we do, because they believe the world revolves around them and anything that happens is always someone else's fault.

That first story threw up so many red flags its unreal. Karen going out her way to pretty much stalk op and her family just so Karen's sis can have an egg from op. I get there has to be some obligation to consult patients. But this had to have been a situation where op could have shut this bs down soon as Karen touched op's hair and brought up her online stalking.

I’ve seen parents use strollers as weapons MANY times, in amusement parks, shops etc. it’s like they stop thinking about the fact that their child is actually in there, but think “I have a stroller so everyone should get out of my way and I’ll run over your feet if you don’t!”
