Totally agree. To avoid "內卷化" is "innovations". United State had problem in 80's, when jobs start going aboard, but innovations creates job. Chinese culture is "homogeneous", everyone go the same direction.

Can’t agreed more. When we were in school, the education system highlights more “homogeneous ” than innovation, too much “innovation” means u don’t respect the rules. But I believe in the future the young generation will be more and more innovative!:)

Justin: "Exactly,. Did I say they are the same or opposite?" You are right and I misinterpreted what you wrote on the first glance. I re-read you posting and deleted my message but you already replied to my posting. "內卷化" is involution. You certainly did not translate the words to innovation.

中國其實也是有創新,但是你一做好做大,美國就會打你。Yes, innovations create job, but only a small portion of people (in silicon valley) benefit from it. Majority of the US citizens are working in retail-service sector like hotels, malls, restaurants and etc. That's why their economy gets hit so hard during the pandemic.

@@zexuli7973 American education system, especially primary and high schools, has its own problems too.
