When the topic of climbing stairs for exercise comes up, many of my colleagues immediately chime in with, "Why bother with stairs? You'll just damage your joints." Implicitly, they believe joints are fragile and that climbing stairs is not a good exercise method, as it can easily harm the joints. I disagree with this simplistic view. So today, let's discuss what truly harms joints and how to protect them, especially when we're engaging in physical exercise.
