Well... small blackholes emit more energy. Big ones slower. But a small energy hole is huge, well, mass of something huge. So adding a sandwich slowing things down is going to be a verry specific situation. I imagine you'd make the largest black hole you can, when you need more energy you make gear than can pump more mass or energy back into it. Small ones cant be easy to feed. So... making it big means less energy out, but one sandwich probably wouldn't do much unless you made it much bigger, but it would shrink again. So, if your pump tech requires an input from the hole, you could starve the engine, by cutting off power output, then pumps cant pump, then it shrinks mind boggling fast. With straw alliens, theyd make things wrong and they would be so close to max energy usage that they cant shut down other things to energize the mass pumps, but that means batteries so... Its possible. Theres other kinds of black holes. Kugle blits are just photons, which don't mind being in the same spot. Obviosly, a sandwitch could cause issue, but a city sized lazer photon crusher would probably vaporize the moleculse before they can get near the singularity, but if they are using gravity drives to crush photons then, that would cause a bit of an issue. Matter needs maddness to crush it, so if the grav fields are kind of nuts, enough for light crushing, theyd likely crush the salamy down a bit, mayby into diamonds max, but the field off would drop the nuget held in stasis, and likely, since it isnt rigged to float matter, the bit of gravity pulling downwards might be enough to... the salamiy would become plasma so with bouancy, probably float up. We are talking about singularity hot so a stream of heat rises approaching planc temp speading super hot up might melt up through stuff. But in reality, lazers of just light at high temps dont melt stuff, they explode it. I would imagine a line of quickly assending super hot quickly melting the ceiling and causing an explosion, not to mention combusting the air in an explosion creating a plasma collum, as air combusts way cooler than what a black hole of pressurized light (pressue equals heat) being the warning of a massive bang while the salamy transfers its hest to watever else right into plasma and it does the the same until a huge billowing cloud of super heated gasseous metal is straming through metel that it mearly has to turn into liquid, and its obviously hot enough if its gas going up until it liquifies and a cloud of sinking molten gas comes billowing downward before condencing into liquid before a pool of lava that is probably on fire comes pooring out onto the floor and likely hitting the beam and starting over so much worse, pooring ont the floor and causing a huge fire and floor is lava senario... fire of metal. The second time around, you can imagine with the mass of a small lava flow what would happening if a colum of up plasma starts fight the downward flow of liquid metal. It would expand the flow like an umbrell just a bit, but atleast the second time around, most of the lava would end up being turned into plasma and going up intot the atmosphere to turn to metal steam, then rain down, rpobably on fire too.
