Fun Fact: I was originally gonna do a Dragon's Lair-style YTP with Ed, Edd n Eddy, where at points in the vid, an on-screen object would flash, you'd click on it, and the poop would progress forward, but lack of motivation ended up having the YTP be scrapped in favor of this.

Annotations are also used to link other videos that people didn't know about, or it can be used for a fun game: kzbin.info/www/bejne/e3fIln6GjahgfqM Now try to imagine that the link I sent in has no annotations at all. Pretty pathetic, isn't it? Well, that's what happens when KZbin removes annotations; there's no interactive games anymore.
