I submitted a detailed fraud report to the FTC, which would be way worse than communicating with customers or having to issue some refunds, because enough reports probably will result in a full-on lawsuit. Most people seemed to be more than willing to wait if there were extra delays🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m really disappointed too because I really liked Looxi and they had such low prices for mostly great shadows. But stealing from customers and not being transparent is wrong.

I made a pretty in-depth post on reddit comparing 6 of my previous favorite Looxi shades purchased in early 2023 to versions posted late 2023 and 2024. Totally different, not just in formula, but tones, colors, shimmer levels, etc. just fully not even the same shadows anymore. Ivye known something was up with them for a while, but I hope they don't go under. Even though the new shadows were IMO lower quality, they were still for sure worth the $3 price tag for me.

The first time i tried looxi was in 2017, when their shadows were $5 and they were soooo nice! *puts on tinfoil hat* I don’t think their shades have been handmade for a while, based on the price tag, texture and the way the pans look perfectly pressed as well as inconsistencies. It’s really too bad, I thought they had potential 🫠

I feel like I have one of the only positive stories about looxi customer service. In January 2023, I ordered from Looxi which included a replacement for one of my favorite shades of all time "Huff n Puff" from the Faerie Tale collection. When I received my order, I noticed that Huff n Puff was an entirely different color, much more teal than the original a primary blue. So, I took photos, including an eye swatch comparison of one shadow on each eye. Then, I sent a really understanding email explaining the situation and within a week, they got back to me that the shade must have been mislabelled. Only days later, they sent me a replacement of the correct shade of Huff n Puff. To this day, I still have that incorrect shadow, but others now don't have the chance to communicate with Looxi as the email is completely gone.

I had a great experience with them as well. In the middle of last year I placed an order and accidently ordered 2 of the same shade. I emailed them once I realized my mistake asking if they could replace it with a shade I didn't have, and they got right back to me and had no issues with it. And up until 2024, anytime I emailed them they were quick to get back to me.

I tried to cancel my order two weeks ago before they deleted their email and wasn't able to, so I don't think you could cancel your order anyway. Even if this is a one man show, you are way more forgiving about this than I am. I have worked for small businesses and it is indeed not hard to send out an email or make an Instagram post about a delay.

@@annihilxte Awww, yay! I recommend the polymorph shadows from PFYF. They're the shifty kinda shadows. The brand has quite a few different formulas and not all shades are created equally so I recommend watching vids and ALWAYS WAIT FOR A SALE. They do those pretty often lol. I too tried Electrum after watching Hannah's first haul from them. The fact that they had a better alternative to Pistol Star from TM sold me and I haven't looked back since lol. TOG has some beautiful shadows as well. Haven't ordered from them in like a year but I think I'll place another order soon. Love following your indie brand journey too Annika ❤.

I ordered a lot of the same inventory shades that you did after not purchasing for a while, and I hope this is just a blip in the road for them, and that they can figure their stuff out. I have been such a big fan of Looxi for so long and I completely echo everyone’s disappointment. It’s almost hard not to take their disappearing act personally-as if we’re responsible for Looxi leaving orders unfulfilled! I would love to see them back again and restored to what they were, but I just can’t see it happening. I sincerely hope people aren’t left on the hook if things simply don’t arrive.

Thanks for doing this video, Hannah. I made my first purchase from Looxi in the middle of May from their Last Chance collection. I’m used to indie shipping times so I didn’t take too much notice after a month went by with no communication. But I wasn’t aware their website and email went down. That definitely changes things for me. I’m going to call into my bank tomorrow to see if they’ll allow a charge back. Pretty sad since I’ve been into indie shadows since 2018 and always wanted to try Looxi. Now it looks like I never will. 😢

Funny enough, I used to think the brand was super shady and put off purchasing from them for the longest while for fear that something like this would occur. I then started watching smaller channels that are more indie makeup focused (yours included) and I was intrigued by the Looxi content so I decided to take the plunge. I have a small but beloved collection of Looxi shadows and never really found any others that caught my eye. Hoping for the best for the brand and those that lost money. The damage is definitely done though if the brand is able to make some sort of a comeback.

I had some shades in my cart in april/may from the inventory sell off, but i never placed the order for some reason. I really like the majority of looxi shade i have.

I placed an order 5/1 and haven’t heard a thing. I live in NC and typically when I purchase I get a shipping notification 2 weeks later then receive my order in under a week. I’ve been buying from them for years and I’m really close to calling my bank. My order was only $12 but how can they just leave without a word. Is the owner okay? Like I’m not hoping for the worst or anything but you HAVE to update your customers. I didn’t know the website was down until you mentioned it in the video and that’s really concerning. It reallyyyyyyy makes me want to call my bank. If you have “leftover” shades then how are they not shipped faster this time around? It makes no sense! It’s so frustrating man.

Looxi has always had issues with their online presence. I don’t know how she can come back from all of this. Even if they do and try to explain what has happened, the damage has been done. My mom has an outstanding order that I guess we will need to dispute.

I'm pretty sure I learned about Looxi from you. I definitely ordered more because of you. I got an order I made on April 2nd on May 24th. I never received the order I made on April 15th (right before the weird sale). They responded with that standard email of people after March will get their orders when the first order was taking a long time. The email was down by the time I tried to reach out about my 2nd order that never came. I'm glad I am also in the position for this order to not matter as much with my finances. I'm glad I have the Looxi shadows that I do. It's sad and disappointing they just disappeared!

I just found out right now about Looxi. I was contemplating to do my first order ever but I'm glad I did not lol. Out of curiosity, i went back to check their website and it's not back. It's been a month. I'm guessing they might not come back. Or I'm guessing maybe they'll come back just either continue as Looxi or maybe they decided to do a rebrand or they were just done. tired of doing that profession. I'm really sad though. I won't lie I just found out about Looxi and I wanted to get some of the shades I fell in love w. But it just never felt right to do the order, i just healthy gut feeling that something about that company did sit well with me. It just made me feel the weren't trustworthy and I'll probably would have lost my money.

I'm sorry to hear that they dissapeard out of the blue with incompleted orders and clients left in the air ! But i'm not surprised they didn't made it ! In this industry you have to keep up at least! That is what happened with JD Glow but at least they announced it. I'm sure there will be another brands who will close , because they don't release nothing new for moths , that means they don't sell good and don't have money to reinvest. Also Looxy wasn't present on social media and this is not how you can make new clients .

Meh it's for the better. Her shades were very dupable, and she even duped herself multiple times with the same pigments. Looxi stopped being handmade for a while now. I'd rather pay more for something more unique and less dimethicone-y. However duping your customers and misleading them is not ok in my book. People should sue if they don't get their items or refunds.

Omg actually laughed seeing this video (not just at your comedic intro). Feels like a long time coming. I bought 8 of Looxi's shadows a few years ago and they were the worst thick, unpigmented, and gritty textured shadows I've ever tried. I always felt like people were gaslighting themselves that Looxi was good just because the prices were so low.
