those shades that seem to hard pan easily have always been like that for the record! I find a stubby small domed brush will pick them up better than a finger

I bought from them for the first time during the same sale and this is literally the first I’ve heard about LC being dookie. Interesting the things you miss from joining the community later.

Brands I could see going out of business are Laura Geller, Ace beauty, Iconic beauty, and Ofra.

It's funny, i owned the venus 3 & only used the pink shimmers as face highlights. I eventually decluttered it. I also own the venus immortalis which is the black, grey, white one (with glow in the dark packaging) & i will NEVER declutter it! It's such a fantastic little capsule! It has a super excellent black matte, a beautiful mid toned grey matte, a taupe matte, a pure white matte with white shimmer in it & a super dark burgundy matte! It also has a beautiful silver shimmer! It's a jewel in my collection for sure.

Lethal has turned in a completely new and different direction. No longer are they making the beautiful shadows in Germany any longer, yet in China. They state that this is due to the extra volume of product that is required. The Midnight Serenade and Mellow Grove Palettes were the last to be made in Germany, everything since has come from China (PRC). I had bought every palette and single shadow that they had made from their base in Germany, along with many other products. When my Avatar Collection arrived, after a very long wait, shadows were broken and even smashed to smithereens. The formula had completely changed. The mattes were so dry that they wouldn't adhere to my lids, yet fall off my eyes. The shimmers were nothing but a flakey mess that needed to be pressed back into the pans, leaving very little product remaining. Naturally, these flakes fell over my clothes, despite using an adhesive. Lethal has kept this quite under the radar. I'm surprised by how few know of the changes. I've listened to reviews from those who have purchased themselves and they can notice the difference and say so in their videos. Very strange that not one single Content Creator who receives PR has mentioned the vast difference in the formula nor that the palettes are emblazoned with 'made in PRC'. After all of this time, I'm still trying to obtain a refund for four eye palettes that aren't able to be used. Just sitting in a cupboard untouched. After the loyalty I had shown them, paying for every purchase I made, they treat me like dirt on their shoes. Just a warning to be careful of this brand now, as they are definitely not the brand they used to be. You'd be better off creating your own themed palettes yourself. Lethal never did collabs., except with Theresa from Theresa is Dead YT Channel. They're delving into collabs head first now. Now, their palettes have changed and pans can no longer be removed or changed around, gone will be the days of the BYOP, as the entire shape of the shadows have changed and no longer are magnetic. Just sharing some information that you may not know of. Lethal only made a brief mention of products being made elsewhere during a video about a release. If one had not have seen this, you wouldn't be the wiser. I believe in transparency and honesty, not the direction that this brand is now heading.🇦🇺💖👩🏼‍🎨

With long nails and gooey products, I learned from a friend to use the backside of your nail to get them out of a jar, then one wipe will clean the nail because nothing gets underneath. I prefer that to a separate applicator.

The red polish is magnetic. I thought the nail polish colors were similar to your color story. Switching the purple to olive green would have tied it in more.

That Melt quad surprised me too. I don't know what it is, but I LOVE it. I also love the Kylie mattes. I stayed away from Kylie for years and then i got the Blue Honey palette as a gift and bought several more palettes. She has a solod matte formula. I sometimes wonder if maybe because people aren't get biggest fans that she doesn't get the hype he mattes deserve? I dunno, but besides myself, you're the only other person I've heard say you like them. 😅 Great ranking.

I would have thought a holographic rainbow iridescent as perfect to represent the ice cream killer which is just such a huge arc to his personal story. i totally agree that it feels a bit more like memorabilia. It’s not bad it’s just basic woo woo serial killer. It really has nothing to do with Dexter it’s more just a horror palette. I do think lethal is 100% using this collab as their valentines launch too which is why it’s so red forward tbh

The Lethal palette was giving me Interview With A Vampire from the movie years ago. And probably also the current series which I’ve only seen a few episodes of.

This Lethal palette just reminds me of the most recent second collaboration Melt did with Bailey Sarian. Real deja vu vibes. I prefer the look you created on your eyes using what you already have. The red with the silver just works, IMO. If you're an honest person, you are going to have to be negative about some products and collections. I'd much rather watch a YT creator who is honest than someone who Hoovers up every latest thing, swears they love it, and then you never see them use it again. That happy "everything is wonderful" thing is alright for some home shopping channel, but for what I'm looking for -- not so much.

This! What I love about your pallet is it reflects his deception too. Everything you picked is kinda sweet and innocent and normal, but then there's this big splash of blood right down the middle! When you were putting it together I was a bit unsure, but once you hold it up, YES! Funnily enough, the colours they picked ARE what I'd use as a more goth-inclined nut, but the problem with that is I already have all the red and black shades that I need! 😂 Sooo...? Yeah I'd just be getting a collectors item that I'd feel bad about using, and then eventually it'd all go bad, and then what? I'd be better off just buying an actual blood slide box. As for the brushes, I already have a full set I'm perfectly happy with too, and honestly my collection of bonsai tools looks more like something Dexter would use lmao! Every time I roll them out... 👀 And the nails... Idk, missed opportunity to call back to the Ice Truck Killer story, since that actually has nail polish playing a significant role. I honestly don't understand all these collabs. They're obviously just to make money, and come across as kinda tacky. This is the first time I've been tempted at all but yeah I'm also relieved it's not something I actually want to use. The worst thing about it though, is now I have the idea of actually trying to buy a blood slide box hahaha. For storing... I dunno... Incense? Something innocent for sure... 😇

Great video. I am totally passing on this collab. I don’t need another red, grey, black palette! I have so many - from MELT Waiting Room; to several of the Glamlite horror-theme-palettes from last year (Chucky comes to mind), Betty Boob, and Coca Cola; to the Wicked Widow Crow palette. . . The one thing I think your palette is lacking is a black matte (the apron in all the kill scenes is black). It would also help to deepen up looks because the only deepening up shade in your palette is the darkest red! I need something for my outer corner whenever I do an eye look!

As a big fan of the show, I really like your color story and I think it’s a lot more thoughtful and fitting! Unfortunately, I still want to buy the collection, but I am hyper aware of the fact that these are not colors that I’m going to get a ton of use out of. I almost never like IP collabs so I’m sort of letting myself have this one lol but in general, I know it’s not the most intelligent purchase! I don’t have a lot of singles, but I would get so much more use out of the color story you made!

I couldn’t agree with you more. I really felt like Lethal’s palette doesn’t capture the essence of the show at all but I love your version. I’m also relieved as I was sure that I was going to struggle to resist purchasing the palette!

I love how bright and fun your palette is! The pastels you chose also remind me of the colorful houses in Miami. I loved Dexter, and the vivid colorscape is incredibly striking, especially for a horror show. This collab feels like a huge missed opportunity tbh

I’m of nearly entirely the opposite opinion: I’ve never seen the show, but I LOVE red eyeshadow and often wear greys and browns, which makes the palette tempting to me based on the color story alone. It doesn’t mean I’m going to buy it because I don’t love the packaging, and, as someone who has a lot of single eyeshadows, I could probably dupe it. I love seeing your palette and your explanation on the colors, though! I think pastels, especially mint, could be really fun with reds and greys!

It's always wild to me how large Clionadh's collection of shades really is. Out of all of the ones you have and the 16 I have, I think there's only an overlap of 3 or so colors. I've tried one of the pastel multichromes and I think it can make an especially "work appropriate" look with a light hand, not that my workplace is even finicky on makeup.

First of all, you did such a good job at making specific short term goals to reach your long term goal of getting your spending habits under a level of control that you can use what you love. We all work hard and we deserve something nice every once in a while. Something that helped me when I went on a low buy was asking myself these questions : Why do I want this? Do I already have this? Will I want this in a year? Can I wait for it to go on on sale?/Would I pay full price or do I want it because it’s on sale? And where is this going to go in my collection/closet? I hope this helps!

Great content! Could you please share the main goal behind creating your KZbin channel

I don’t know if this would help at all, but there’s a lot of budgeting resources on KZbin. You don’t need to do literal cash stuffing, but I found the cash stuffing corner of KZbin extremely beneficial to me when I finally said “enough is enough” on my spending. It was refreshing to switch my KZbin watching habits from creators who were constantly buying and showing off things to creators who were focusing and saving for the important things in life. I didn’t stop watching all of my makeup creators (obviously!) but it did help me refocus. Last year I successfully completed the 100 envelope challenge by prioritizing saving money every week the second I got paid… when it was safe out of my account I wasn’t so tempted to spend it. By the end of the 100 envelope challenge I had saved over $5,500 that I never would have saved had it not been for cash stuffers on KZbin. I had originally planned on using it towards a down payment for a house, but unfortunately my husband became very ill and has been unable to work for the past six months. Let me tell you, that money has been a lifesaver, and I was so incredibly grateful that past me saved that money instead of buying 47 new eyeshadow palettes. You never know when an emergency is going to happen, and even though I’m disappointed that a house is out of my reach, I’m grateful that I had that money to pay the bills. Stay strong and good luck! The power is all yours to continue to say no to what you want and to budget for what is important to you! And as someone who practically lives in Disney World, as much as you say you won’t buy anything please remember that Mickey is extremely skilled at taking peoples money lol. Don’t feel bad if he manages to take yours, it happens to the best of us! Just be smart about it! 😂❤️❤️

Being on a low/no buy is so hard for meeee!! I also selectively forget things. For instance I was really gassing myself up for only purchasing one palette this year... But that's not true!! I placed an order from coloured Raine when they were going out of business! I also placed an order early in the year for a palette from joocyee for an every day palette. So the FC harvest of souls was NOT the only palette I bought. Palettes were always my downfall. I did really well on not purchasing singles this year too tbh. I mean in 2024 btw lol. Making rules is super helpful for me! Good luck Hannah! 💪
