R.I.P Mick • Surprise 80 series build that got him to Cape York

We're terribly saddened to learn this morning that 4WDer, legend and all-round top bloke Mick Colbran passed away last night after fighting extremely aggressive cancer for the last couple of years. We met Mick a couple of years ago when we as well as Darren and the team at Custom RV Creations and a bunch more legends in the industry helped get Mick's 80 Series back on the road and ready to fulfil a lifelong dream to take his young family to the Cape before he got too crook to travel. It's bittersweet that Mick and his extended family fulfilled that dream last year.
From everyone here at the mag, we extend our deepest sympathies to his wife Alice, their two young blokes Tom and Sam, and all of Mick's mates and family.

I downloaded the dreamlab app a few months ago, it uses your phone while it's connected to WiFi and charging overnight to help run calculations to help with cancer research, in a hope to find a cure. It's something small but it all helps.
