One might say that I am highly intelligent. After 8 years of study at Yale (I was accepted at 14), I graduated with my master's in law and immediately joined a firm that paid about $80,000 per year. I worked there for 10 years until I left, even getting a partnership. I felt that it was time to leave when my boss wouldn't let me take control of the firm. I quit and became a professor of Organic Chemistry at Stanford, even though I have never studied that subject. That is where I currently work, and I am not worried about the money, because I have a patent for a device that has made me hundreds of thousands of dollars. And yes, I do watch Rick and Morty, I legitimately have gained 10 IQ points since I have started watching, bringing it up to 184.

Fun story. Whenever my friends loom at my sketchbooks they get worried when seeing near the back of the books (all of them) have a few pages of just math. I don't remember ever doing them but I do know when I'm bored or want time to pass faster I just do random math problems. Something that would keep me busy for at least an hour. My friend has made jokes claiming I'm secretly a robot and this is where it shows.

IQ is a measure of a person’s ability to learn and problem solve, you can’t change it. A five year old might have a higher IQ than a college student. You aren’t born knowing how to do math, but people with higher IQ will pick it up and master it faster. Btw you can be ignorant and have a high ir average IQ, or you could be very knowledgable with an average or low IQ. What’s really important is how you act around others. Being super smart isn’t so important in the long run.

*THANK YOU.* I'm so sick of people bragging about their IQ, thinking it means they know more as a result. I've taken two real IQ tests (not internet bullshit); one of the tests was a one-on-one, two to three hour test that my middle school paid for me to take over a summer break (I'm still not sure why they did that) and the man who's job it was to administer the test told me my IQ was in the 130 to 140 range, which is supposedly a "genius" level IQ. The other test I took (several years later) was administered by MENSA, and I got every question correct. Somehow that meant my IQ was 145, according to them, even though that doesn't really make sense; they should've just given me a new test, or an even longer test so I could start getting some questions wrong, allowing them to get a more accurate idea of my cognitive abilities. But still, the 145 score I got is also a "genius" level IQ apparently. *HOWEVER;* I am a fucking MORON. I'm not a genius in any way, at all. I am quite often just a complete idiot. I know a lot of useless facts, but memorization is not an act of intelligence; anyone can remember things and regurgitate them later. I have a big interest in science, and philosophy, and just general critical thinking, but so do millions of other (much smarter) people. IQ scores don't mean a goddamn thing. The fact that I get genius level scores just tells me the tests are pointless, because I'm just dumb. Like, I am objectively not a smart person; not even close to "genius". Sorry for the rant, the whole IQ thing is just so stupid to me. (Fun game to play; next time someone brags about their IQ, ask them what IQ stands for. I've never gotten a correct answer to that question, but every single person I asked had some terrible excuse about why they didn't know it. You'll never see anything more pretentious in your entire life. One guy actually went on this big rant about how English is such a fluid language, that the term IQ no longer means intelligence quotient, because people say IQ more often than intelligence quotient. Then he talked for 30 minutes about how it's impossible to know anything at all, which he immediately followed by telling me he knew more than me. I've never been more frustrated by something so funny.) Just to be clear, this wasn't a humble brag; I am genuinely stupid, and I'm not trying to make anyone think my IQ is impressive; I'm saying the exact opposite, because my whole point is that IQ scores are meaningless. Ok, this is way too long. I'm done, I promise.

Calvin Lee That was actually really interesting to read even if it was really long lol. My IQ is supposedly 130ish, but I’m also a straight A student. It’s so interesting so see a different persepective on IQ, it really isnt a good measure of how smart you are because theres a lot of different things that go into making someone “smart”, whether its speed, accurancy, creativity, logic, or memory. IQ only really measures your logic smartness.
