A couple of months ago I wanted to see a therapist. When I told my mom this she immediately said, " You're not suicidal, are you? Why would you want to commit suicide you're such a pretty girl" All I wanted was mental help. I haven't thought about the concept of suicide in 2 years. She wouldn't let me talk. I basically listen to her for 2 hours, preaching to me about Jesus Christ. So, in other words, if you have insane parents that are highly religious, homophobic, racist, and anti Vax, you will never receive the help you need. So I have resorted to watching psychology videos, the Click, sad milk, and the members of sad milk. You guys have helped me alot. I thank you.

Same. I tried telling my parents that my frequent breakdowns growing up weren’t just normal childhood moments, and they responded “seriously, why haven’t you forgiven us yet!?!? This sounds like a problem between you and GAHD!?!?!?” I feel for you. Finding any info you can may not feel like the best step, but then again it’s not supposed to be. You’re doing the right thing by taking those steps towards wellness when you can. Small progress is better than no progress. Keep at it until you’re in a situation where you feel safe and secure enough to reach out independently for professional help, until then bettering yourself whenever and wherever you can is THE best thing you can do. Keep up the good work😊👍 And also, it’s gonna be ok. There are people out there who care about you, and know you’ll be amazing😁. Have a great day. 🤗

There are 3 types of parents. 1.- Insane parents: Those who are *trying* to educate their children in very harsh ways and desire to stick with their children for eternity. 2.- Good parents: Those that educate their children successfully, being harsh if needed, and will take care of them, but will stop gradually, so they become independent. 3.- _Are these parents?_ : Those who don’t give a flying f*cc about their children, never educate them, and pretty much leave their children by themselves. Their children are raised by media and peers and become jerks. Just, don’t reach extremes.

With the Facebook posts they're telling the world, so there is no denying, but with a text or behind closed doors no one sees it. Those parents most likely act perfect in public, then monsters to their children. This makes it so if the child acts up, or moves away the parent can say that the child was the problem and everyone will believe them...

This is how my mother is, we went through alot of really traumatizing situations together and as the oldest of my four sisters I ended up being the one to take all the beatings, scoldings, and getting my things taken or broken while we were in those situations. As soon as we got out my mom I guess didn't know how to cope and took everything out on us but sent us to therapy twice a year and acted she was a hero for it. She was always perfect in public or when she was on the phone but as soon as there was no one to judge her she would yell at and slap my sisters and I, and would punch and sometimes even choke me. The whole time it was always my fault for "emotionally manipulating" her and making her feel threatened and guilty. She won't let me get a learner's permit to drive or a job because "I already act like I'm the adult" . LOL "problematic" children do not leave the house. Infact, problematic children try to leach off their parents as long as possible. Don't be afraid to leave abusive parents for this reason. 99% of the time when a child leaves a house on bad terms people see it as a parent's shortcomings.

And if I said I had no choice in being born, or that I didn't want it, my mom (due to certain religious beliefs) would go "But you actually did, since you're here today, and that means your spirit wanted to come to Earth in a body. You guys need to understand that humans are naturally stubborn. If someone tells you something and you argue back, they will feel angry. None of you can hide it, yeah you might've thought "oh they're right" but there is anger to some degree on it. Everyone is stubborn unless they have some kind of mental disorder or has environmental factors/self control that helped them to be submissive. It's like saying to your mom after she tells you to clean your room "well the guests aren't sitting in my room" Congratulations ! You've made her more likely to make you clean your room ! Also consider that your mother did not only carry you for 9 months. She raised you your entire life until adulthood. You are now a well functioning adult and have a decent/good relationship with her. Carrying you for 9 months isn't the hard part, splitting her open like your Moses and the red sea then being raised until you lived on your own is. -A teenager that has understanding and patience with my mother

As a christian, I'm very confused about the relationship some people (mainly some Americans) have with Christianity. Maybe they learned other things than I (roman catholic) did, but shouldn't they at least know that god doesn't just swoop in and help them with all their problems? To use god as an excuse for harming other people with your inconsiderateness is like not watering your garden because the heat bothers you. Also most of the parents in this video clearly aren't loving their neighbors like themselves. Uff, normaly I'm not very religious, but stuff like this is just....bothersome Edit: thanks for the likes

My friend was raised Christian but for a while she spent time reading the bible and seeing if it fit her beliefs. She’s put a lot of thought into if she’s actually Christian or not. She came to the conclusion she is and all her beliefs can be summed up to “if you are a Christian then I condemn it but if you are not then you have no obligation to follow the bible and parents should not force their kids to do things” she’s very open minded and doesn’t care if your views don’t match hers and she DESPISES “Christians” who hate on others and try to justify it with the Bible when it’s actually never said in it. When i was in first grade i had a teacher that hated me because she didnt like my step brother. At some point during the year i Got a red stick. (The teacher graded us throughout the day with three sticks. Green, yellow, and red). So she called my parents, my dad slapped my face so hard and then i was punished to stay on my bed for a week. I was so scared to get a bad grade after that. In 5th grade i had 6 panic attacks in a row because i couldnt answer the questions on the study guide. (The test was the next day). The teacher got worried and called my parents when they heard about it they simply told me not to do that, which caused me to have another one on the way home. To this day (im in my senior year of highschool) i am afraid to get anything below a b and panic when i get grades under 80. Another thing. When we got introuble my step mom would make us go get a switch to beat our rear end. There was a bush in the backyard, it had flexible sticks that when you moved them through the air they made a loud swish noise. They hurt, badly. Shed hit us several times but the worst part was that if the switch in her eyes wasnt good enough (he believed youd intionally get a bad one) woukd hit you harder and longer. Another punishment i received one time was apparently i got introuble, what for? I dont remember. But she put hotsauce in my mouth around 4 pm. Forced me to stand in the kitchen without moving, talking, or leaning against anything until 12 am. She finally gave me the okay to leave, when i sighed in relief she took it as disrespect and forced me to stand there till 1 am. I had school thecnext day and was in early elementary. First or second grade.

Which I also retold him after he took it away. What did he answer you ask? I'm suspecting that I have ADHD and I asked my dad if I could be diagnosed by a professional, or something like that. I'm sorry, I don't have great memory but here's the nutshell of how the conversation went. Me: Hey dad, I think I might have ADHD, can you take me to like, a professional or something? Dad: I'm not understanding what you're saying, what about this AyEHE? Me: ADHD. I'm starting to show possible symptoms. Dad: You know, it's all in your head. Me: What? Dad: You think you have that AHHD or whatever but it's all in your head. It's because of that computer. i 'love' my family Edit: Thank you for sharing your stories! I still haven't gotten a diagnosis.

My mother likes to guilt trip me all the time when she is the one to get me upset because she gets mad at me for my anxiety. She says things like, "you don't care for your mama, " and when I try to explain myself, she gets mad at me and says that I'm being moody.

Imagine having a mother die in prison and a father who's a pimp. Now imagine living a life of moving from home to home, never truly knowing your family because you can't tell who the hell you're related to anymore. Now add a multitude of step moms, bad ones who abuse you and good ones you don't want to leave. Thats my life. So when I see these videos. I feel just a little less lonely...

Don't lose hope, you might be living in hell right now but just bear through it. If your a student then study hard towards your favorite career and get a part time job. Save as much as you can and when you reach 18 move out to your own place. Your father is a real piece of shit, cut ties with him when you can financially support yourself. Also, try seeking professional help.

I used to keep a colony of cockroaches with an ex. We sold them to people with pet lizards etc. The females were genuinely good mothers. When I needed to grab mature males, they gathered up and shielded their young. They led them to food and groomed them. My point? Some of these parents are inferior to cockroaches.

Fun fact about the corona mixer: COVID-19, similar to other diseases in its family (such as the flu) has the rapid mutation, meaning that not only can you get it again after building antibodies, but because of the virus’ nature to cause damage to you lungs, every additional encounter is more likely to be fatal. The mutation is the reason we need a new needle for the flu so often.

18:12 That annoys me beyond belief, I was talking to a person sometime ago, and the person changed their way of speaking with me just because I was younger than them, by "changed their way of speaking", I mean they added explanations to "big words" in brackets. Ex. "Well these two things are indistinguishable(when two things are nearly the same)." They did this despite me using those same words in previous instances. Sorry for the ranting lmao.

Here’s what I would go by as a parent: Kids are like guinea pigs. -let them test their limits and if they accidentally mess us, gently remind them not to with a little boop on the nose not to do that again. -They smell fear and sadness, so run away if they look at you funny. -They aren’t very smart, so tempt them with healthy snacks that still taste good and not flavorless biscuits. -They are going to bite you so make sure you have a bathroom within reach in case they break your skin
