When producer NC Sippy and director Hrishikesh Mukherjee's film 'Anand' was released in 1971, this dialogue was just a dialogue in the film. But now this dialogue has become a reality, a truth. When producer NC Sippy's grandson Sameer Raj Sippy announced the remake of the film 'Anand', almost five decades after its release, there was a flood of reactions on social media. Many people thought that the people of the new generation would know 'Anand' now. But among the most watched classic Hindi films on the internet, 'Anand' is still garnering millions of viewers by appearing in the top 15 beautiful films. This makes it clear that even the youth who were not even born at the time of the release of 'Anand', are watching 'Anand' and liking it. No amount of praise for this film is enough. 'Anand' is a film whose production, direction, story, screenplay, dialogue and editing are all excellent. The acting of the actors of the film is so amazing that all the characters have come alive. From the song, music to photography of the film, everything is incomparable.
Actually, there are countless unforgettable things associated with the film 'Anand'. But one thing that comes first is that this was the first film of superstar Rajesh Khanna and superstar Amitabh Bachchan together. By the time the production of 'Anand' started in 1970, Rajesh Khanna was touching the heights of popularity by becoming the country's first superstar. Amitabh Bachchan was struggling to work in films at that time. When 'Anand' was released on March 12, 1971, Amitabh Bachchan's first film 'Saat Hindustani' (1969) had only been released. Therefore, at the time of 'Anand', Amitabh Bachchan was completely new. While sharing the story of the day of release of 'Anand', Amitabh Bachchan had said some time ago - That day, when he filled petrol in his car in the morning from Irla Petrol Pump on Swami Vivekananda Marg, Mumbai, no one recognized him there. But when he stopped again late in the evening to buy petrol at the same petrol pump, people recognized him and started saying - 'Babu Moshay, Babu Moshay'. 'Anand' was the second film of the duo of producer NC Sippy and director Hrishikesh Mukherjee. The first film of this pair was 'Aashirvaad' which came in 1968. After the production of the film 'Anand', the relationship between the producer and the director became so sweet and strong that both of them made many wonderful films together. Like 'Bavarcheet', 'Chupke Chupke', 'Milli', 'Golmalt' and 'Khoobsurat'. There are five main characters in the film 'Anand'. Anand Sehgal Rajesh Khanna, Dr. Bhaskar Banerjee alias Babu Moshay Amitabh Bachchan, Dr. Prakash Kulkarni Ramesh Dev, Suman Kulkarni Seema Dev and Renu Sumita Sanyal. The story of the film begins in flashback with a ceremony where cancer specialist Dr. Bhaskar is being honored with the Saraswati Award for his book 'Anand'. Then Bhaskar tells the story of one of his cancer patients, Anand, who came to Mumbai from Delhi. Who has lymphosarcoma i.e. cancer in his intestine.
