In the adoption situation; the story ends with OP saying that the child will be raised by 2 cheaters. Yeah, THAT relationship won't last. One of them will bail. Cheaters gonna cheat. The child will have the cross to bear, of 2 cheaters as parents. There may come a step parent with actual morals. That's what we should all hope for. There are 3 victims here, the wronged wife (let's hope her next relationship is a better guy), short term the OP (he was hurt but here's hoping he'll heal quickly), and mostly and for the longest, the child.

If you call any of them and they can't help, they point you to a good place to go. Law schools have clinics too that you can go to for help. A friend of my mom's has a daughter a bit older than myself, she was in a major accident where she hit a pile of dirt that had been left in the middle of the lane on a hwy, it was nighttime when she went through the area and wrecked, but the crew had left ZERO signage, no cones, nothing! She had her right arm resting on her own window ledge and during the accident her arm was outside of the car and at one point trapped between the roof of the upside down car and pavement. Thankfully through several very tedious and long surgeries they were able to save her arm but she had many other really bad injuries, I cannot remember all of them now but I'll never forget her arm with all the drain tube ect and how swollen and beat up her face was, it was awful. Thankfully they sued the city and won because it was proven that nobody took any precautions to keep people from hitting the dirt pile whatsoever. I cannot remember more as this happened years ago when I was around 17ish? She was in her early 20's at that point. It was a miracle she survived and that nobody else was hurt. Sorry left out that it was a city crew that was working there during the day and left the dirt in the hwy but didn't leave any of the signage behind warning if the lane being full of dirt nor did they leave any signage that even alerted to them having been their earlier that day. She had been headed home from work if I remember correctly so she hadn't seen the roadwork prior to hitting the dirt and had no idea it was there.

i live on a dirt road, rural, and a township is in charge of the road itself, and on the other side of the road is the rest of my yard and a river. so a few years ago, the township decided to raise our road, by more than a foot, and because of the river it was slightly angled towards the house-side for drain off. while it was nice to not have potholes for a few weeks, it was not nice with rain, because what was expected happened... us and our neighbours to either side of us, flooded as the water was directed to our houses by the way the road was angled and us being on a bend. so we complained to the township and they said they would put a culvert in, going across the road and to the river(they had to dig up all that freshly redone dirt road). i left for work the day they were doing it, in the pouring rain, as they put the culvert between me and the neighbour to our right(we were worse off than the one to my left). i worked evenings, so i came home in the dark and it had thankfully had stopped raining hours since... and it was a good thing i drive a suv. so i went to turn into our driveway, had the steering wheel ripped out of my hands making my already torn left elbow tendons tear more as i slammed to a halt in a fucking DITCH across my driveway. it was almost 2' deep and wide. while i was gone, they decided to put a ditch from the neighbour on the left to the culvert between me and the neighbour on the right all the way across our driveway. i went to the hospital because my already injured elbow ballooned, had to take a few days off work, and freaked on the township... once i got to the head guy in charge of that dept "they did what?!". he was at my place in 15 mins and they were back within an hour filling it in till it was only about 6" deep. that same day before they refilled the ditch, the alternator went on my hubby's car and he called for it to be towed to our garage(typical mechanic won't fix his own until undriveable), and the tow truck driver couldn't get it out of the driveway(2002 honda civic sport coupe) as the car is really low and would have been trashed trying to get it into the ditch while towed on a hook. thankfully i managed to get it started and moved enough it could be towed and had to go to the garage so i could get my suv back for my fun hospital trip. the ground settled becoming fairly deep again and we had to mostly refill it in ourselves and my hubby finally gave up the honda for a ram lol. now with the great lakes rising high, they're considering raising the road again, as the road actually gets covered by river now and houses have flooded with storms...

All I needed was a signed note giving permission to have my children treated if they needed to be. I also called the local hospital & told them to make a note in their charts that my parents were allowed to make medical decisions while I was away. When my youngest needed to be seen for an ear infection, they had zero issues with the hospital & I had zero issues with my late husband's insurance picking up the tab for it like they would have had I brought her in. Guardianship in a babysitting situation where they wouldn't have to register the child for school makes zero sense. The hell?

The one about the mentally disabled man makes me sad. It seriously sounds like he may have at one time lived in that home since his focus is not on even acknowledging you all just entering the home. It is really hard when ppl are injured and their families just throw them in a home and leave. I used to work as a CNA and have seen it so many times. These people end up in accidents or already have issues and the families just leave them alone, never visit and these people end up trying to escape and find their home or if they can't physicality try to leave they will simply cry and tell you best they can about their home. I do hope a solution is found to keep him safe and keep everyone else safe. It's a difficult situation and I understand her feelings but the man most likely isn't dangerous and most likelier lived in that home. He was looking for his family. It's sad. That or the home resembles where he had lived in the past.

If they have guardianship, then that means they are the childs legal guardian meaning the mother is not the legal guardian and they have every right to keep the kid from her. She wouldn't have simply not known they didn't have guardianship, because they could only get it if she and the father both gave up custody of the child which would require going to court and a judge saying that custody is being given to them, which would mean neither parent would have any legal or financial responsibility for the child and would both no longer have a right to that child. She would know whether or not they had guardianship before she left the courtroom.

Yes & no, no she doesn't know anything she's not psychic... Yes, it should be a relatively minor comfort. Realistically, people with disabilities very rarely are a threat to anyone. Truth be told, disabled people, especially those with significant developmental/cognitive disabilities, are infinitely more likely to be victim of a crime than the offender. Legally, he was actually a victim of a crime seeking help, no different than a young kid... The fact that he was allowed unsupervised & to put himself in significant danger. So yeah, recognizing that they are significantly disabled, is a reasonable reason to not feel AS threatened (assuming that they don't otherwise appear to be out of control). I'm not saying assume it's safe but don't demonize either... Definitely report the matter so he can get the help he needs. Don't needlessly endanger yourself & judge the situation based on the particulars therein. But it's important to remember that whatever behaviour you see, there's no certainty in life; so definitely, if you have kids around or feel vulnerable, by all means lock the door, call the police & defend you/your own, however it comes down to. But remember that in reality, it's almost never the disabled person that's any danger to anyone. They are really most likely to be victims. The sight of someone with quite extensive disabilities by themselves & in distress/ confused, please get them help!

I get me a lawyer because in Indiana a farmer is not only allowed to shoot your dog or rancher if it's destroying their livestock and private property but they can also sue your ass for replacement of lifestyle and private property and also in the state of Indiana it is illegal to let your dog run a loose on anybody else's property I'm sure Texas is probably got the same laws where you have to maintain control over your animal and if it trespasses on to somebody's property and kills their livestock you're allowed to protect your livestock and your family by shooting it and I hate to tell your neighbor but if you called the animal control they would have took the animal in and they were to put it down because their way of thinking is once it taste blood it's always going to go out on the kill which is true once full grown dog like a German Shepherd or any big dog even little dogs taste blood they want to go kill something again it's just natural instinct too

The disabled man may just be a man of mental retardation or delay. Talk to him, and ask him questions. Don't show fear. That will confuse a mentally retarded person. He just wants to be friends. Ask his caregiver if he is dangerous. The care giver is forbidden to give you his diagnoses, but can tell you if you have reason to separate yourself from him.

This is a standered farmer scam , I have seen it before in out local area many years ago. Any bigger dogs or so call Ed aggressive dogs were sometimes taken without warrents and killed. It is a farmer wanting to get compensation for lost product. .

Scooters, skateboards, bikes, feet, mobility scooters, they all belong on the sidewalk. Roads and sidewalks were both created by and for pedestrians, driving is a privilege, but with the way traffic is in major cities, it's not worth the risk of being on the side of the road and saying that some should not be using sidewalks is ridiculous.
@teresafinch77903 жыл бұрын
Bike's do not belong in what you would call a sidewalk, it's dangerous for pedestrians. People who are walking do not have eyes in the back of their heads, cyclists have no way of knowing what the pedestrian is just about to do. I like to walk where I live.( I'm in the UK, so I walk on a pavement,) but in makes me nervous that cyclist will ride up behind me on the pavement, and pass me with inches to spare. If someone is too scared, or not, capable of cycling in the road then they should stay off there bike.
@lepayen3 жыл бұрын
@@teresafinch7790 Yes they do. Cyclists pose no danger to other pedestrians. People don't have to have eyes in the back of their head to pay attention to their surroundings. They absolutely know what the cyclist is going to do, they know the cyclist is going to keep cycling and pass them, and so they walk to the side, and more often than not, the cyclist will move to the side as well giving more than enough space. If I were you, I'd be more nervous that cyclists are putting their lives in danger, riding on roads with motor vehicles. Staying off of bicycles is not an option here, if it was, then I could tell you the same thing... If you're scared, then you should stay off of your feet. Just like you use your feet, those people are using their choice of transportation, and that's what freedom is, the ability to make a choice, not being forced onto roads or being told what to do. Don't be ridiculous, lady. The only safe place for bicycles, is the sidewalk, where other pedestrians go. If you don't like it, get a car. and drive instead. Can't drive? Too scared? Stay home, like you were told. You must think everyone lives in a quiet suburb where riding on the road would be fairly safe, but most of us live in cities with constant traffic, (Toronto, New York) some cities where people don't even stop for a stop sign or to let people cross the road when they are permitted (Montreal) We're talking about drivers who hate cyclists more than you do and don't want them on the road and sometimes try to run them off the road. You're talking about "inches to spare" during a time when you should purposefully be avoiding people by at least 6 feet, right? If you were, there would never be "inches to spare". What about the people who walk by you with "inches to spare"? You're not worried they might pickpocket you? Be happy the cyclist went by quickly and is gone, the walking person's likely to be far more of a danger to you.
@lepayen3 жыл бұрын
@@teresafinch7790 Even better, roads were built for pedestrians, not vehicles. Driving is a privilege. Therefore, you can go walk on the road instead, and since you want to put cyclists in extreme danger rather than keeping them safe on sidewalks, nobody's going to care if you do.
@lepayen3 жыл бұрын
@@teresafinch7790 How often do you hear about a bicycle/walking person accident? Never, right? But at least once per week, you hear about a cyclist being hit by a car, and every month you hear about one that died because of it. Amongst motor vehicles is not the place for pedestrians of any kind, which is why we have sidewalks, so walk on one side so people can pass you, and learn to share.
@teresafinch77903 жыл бұрын
@@lepayen how on earth I I suppose to know what is behind me? Cyclist don't make any noise. How can I avoid them if I don't know that they are there? Am I supposed to have some sixth sense? I was pushed, by two boys riding one bike, don't you think I would have got out of the way if I knew that they were there. Where I live most cyclist ride on the road safety, though some would be better if they used lights at night. Why should I have to stay of my feet to avoid people who are breaking the law by cycling in a place that should be safe for pedestrians. I don't want people to be cycling near me with inches to spare but if they are approaching me from behind, how on earth do I know they are there? It is against the law for adults to cycle on the pavement so they should not be there, and pickpockets really! I have never met anyone who has had that happen, but I I did see a work friend, after she had been knocked over by someone cycling on the pavement, he came up behind her.
