It makes me laugh when areas that don't normally get snow get like an inch, and they all freak out and close the schools because they have no idea how to handle it. Meanwhile we get drenched in thigh-deep snow and the schools are like, "eh, whatever, just drive slow". Also, on top of not clearing the top off, they didn't clean off their license plate. This isn't the only reason If you live somewhere that gets these massive sheets of snow, you see most of the time it lands perfectly down, or there was too much wind for it to really stick. If you look at the lopsided heap on the car, it probably means the driver started to scrape of the snow, but then decided to screw it and just drive.

Also, you don't take that to a car wash (if there is even one operating, that time of year) because any water that gets on it will freeze. Just take a broom or anything with a long handle, if you don't have a shovel, and shove the snow off the top (the whole top; not just half of it)

As someone who lives in the North: Yes, you can go through a car wash in the snow. The issue with that photo comes from how extremely dangerous having that much snow on top of your car is. There's likely ice chunks in there, and if they flew off, they could easily shatter your windshield and seriously injure/kill you.

I dont live in the Midwest, but grew up in NY, and now live in Northern Nevada (it's colder than Las Vagas), so both places I've lived have had four seasons. The snow here obviously isn't as bad for all of winter like in NY.. But I've still never been to a car was in the winter. I'd rather not get iced in my car. Its bad when it rains, and then freezes.. 9:00 - I live in snow! Driving without cleanjng snow off the roof is very dangerous. A lady named Jessica was killed up here (New England) because somebody neglected to clean the snow off their car, so now our state has Jessica's law, a $200 fine for leaving snow on your car on the highway. Its literally the easiest thing to clean off. Its snow. It falls. Its on top of the car. Just push it and it falls off. Anybody who is physically capable of driving a car is capable of cleaning off the snow. If you can't, winter driving is not a responsibility you should take. Its infuriating because its a potentially lethal situation caused by pure laziness.

Not just Canada. There are a few sporadically around in the states. The company actually got its start in California, and the US branch is headquartered in Kentucky. That said, the A&W US and A&W Canada branches are no longer owned by the same parent company, but I think the US division still holds control over the A&W restaurants over in the Asian Pacific region. US is with "A Great American Brand" (basically a conglomerate comprised of franchise owners), whereas Canada is with an offshoot of Unilever. Yes, *that* Unilever. The A&W grilled cheese, as far as I'm aware, was once an option available on the menu in restaurants in the US. If there's a recent reddit post about it, it might still be. Disclaimer: the nearest A&W to me is about an hour away, so I don't go to one nearly as frequently as I used to when I lived in British Columbia [where one was barely a minute down the road].
