Insurance doesn't cover the first 250 euro each year or something like that (while the rest gets paid in full if it's covered) so I had to pay a grand total of... get this...31 euro. Looked up prices for the US for people with insurance. Prices ranged from 300 to 1200 dollars. Basically at LEAST around 10x the price. Fucking crazy... Having to pay 1200 a month just to continue living should be considered a violation of human rights imo.

I get mail at my apartment from a tenant who moved nearly twenty years ago. Like, important mail such as bank statements, tax documents, etc. The homeowner/landlady herself has tried contacting the post office for over a decade to fix it but no luck. I don't know if it's the fault of the tenant for not updating his address or if the USPS is just being its usual crappy self. This shit happens at an alarmingly high rate, it is is definitely frustrating.

To answer your queations about the holes in crackers thing, those holes are there because without them, the crackers would puff up and bubble weirdly while in the baking process. Thats why you do the same with pies and other pastries. it creates a much more uniform look. if youre baking at home, that may not be too important to you.
