If anything, I think Mr Tu "Ronin" Lam is doing an excellent job of showing people that you can still apply ancient martial wisdom with new ideas, efficiency of motion and the mastery of the body and mind and put it into practice. He's also doing a damn good job at marketing Ronin Tactics, I only found his channel because he's a goddamned operator in call of duty. I'm glad I did though, because this is quality content that again, I would absolutely expect to pay for elsewhere.

I’m in the Army and i have watched alot of videos off of this channel and seriously it has changed the way i shoot and move. Man i have learned so much watching these videos I never thought a KZbin video like this would honestly teach me anything but i was wrong within the last year my movement as in stance and high and low compress has changed my ability in shooting. I wish the US Military would have taught me this stuff but they don’t. Personally wish the military would reconstruct how they teach soldiers to shoot stance movement etc I’m only speaking on the military as a whole. But yeah these videos helped me out alot.

I come from Croatia, a country where it's not perceived normal to do stuff like this. We don't shoot or go to ranges or any of that. I had an opportunity to shoot a double barreled shotgun once and a very rare opportunity to squeeze off two rounds from a Zastava M70ab (folding stock AK47 variant). The closest I got to manipulating an AR was through airsoft. Whatever you people think about airsoft, I don't care. It got me to a point of understanding the weight, sight picture and mechanics of the platform. It also got me interested in watching stuff like this. Anyway... I've seen a lot of these mumbo jumbo dudes all over KZbin that do these courses without ever setting foot in a war zone, calling guns "weapon systems" and crap like that. Then you got Tu, a true warrior calling a gun what it is - a gun. He's here pouring out wisdom and experience coming from a long lasting military career. I have not heard a single word come out of this guy that doesn't make sense. Also, his presentation skills are on point. When he talks, people listen. I hope these guys from the video understand how fortunate they are to be able to learn from Tu.

Same here in Turkey brother. We got AR style .410 bore shotguns that government allows us to use, and we can buy pistols.. I said AR style particularly because that is what makes you the closest to the 5.56 OG M4. Thing with the airsoft, I've been airsofting and practical shooting for over 8 years now.. and AIRSOFT HELPS. Not with the marksmanship phase, because you shoot out bb's but for the learning handling a firearm relatively safely, airsoft is top notch.

As a martial arts practitioner and former combat veteran over the years I learned and observed much of this long ago, body mechanics and economy of motion are important in combat. You don't know how long a firefight is going to last you have to be able to carry that weapon and use it efficiently. Great video!!!

I went to a class up there around 5yrs ago at Valor Ridge with Reid Hendricks ..it was an austere conditions course & I had a great time.. the company I was working for at the time price matched & sent 2 of us up from FL .. this was before Hendricks went off on his little rant & I loved the course/content .. I used my Spike's tactical Crusader 10.5" pistol & my Aero 16" carbine .. both of which I assembled .. Tennessee is absolutely gorgeous & I realized how much I missed hills & mountains .. living in FL we're pretty flat aside from sand dunes

A little tip I learned my police and military people, they have bore bullet lasers and muzzle lasers that can help you zero your rifle in multiple calibers. I use lasers to get a accurate zero on my deer rifle. Hopefully this is helpful

Kiril Bellic don’t think it mattered with this group of guys. Half of em couldn’t group 3 shots and almost the whole class showed up with rifles without a zero. That whole team just needs to take it back to the drawing board. They’re probably good guys more than likely. Just fell victim to complacency I guess, but who knows truly.

@@bend6470 Being fit is as important if not more than having that carbine in check. Every cop will fight with someone hand to hand eventually. Very few will get in running gun battle shooting under cars, doing speed reloads through 4 mags and so on. But, anyone who is issued a rifle or has one at all should zero the damn thing of course, at a minimum.

Edit: I thought I'd learnt it all until it clicked that he's so trained he thinks about 180° gun drive with every step. He's got it down to a subconscious thing even in live fire. Think about that. I know it's difficult to train and break bad habits,,my grandfather and dad always made sure they were making a point and that I actually comprehended what was being taught, I've used this knowledge for every aspect of my life, look at your career and instead of it being a paycheck use it to better yourself, look at everything you do for instance I'm a welder fabricator, I don't think of it as " i build shit and I don't know what it's going to" . I build it knowing exactly what it is where it is going and why it is needed . This all ties in and I call it an art form ,form of art . And when I use my tools just say a slag hammer or chipping hammer it has a point end and a small wedge end ,I use this hammer consistently throughout the day and I study all the movements of my muscles and joints, like I can get huge amounts of force by simply using my wrist and lightly holding the handle oppoessed to holding tightly and using my whole body to really smash down on something,, I could go on ,the point is that everything you do should be an art form extrapolated and now it's a Martial Art. When I am teaching fundementals of shooting I go to the target with a red dot sight and or iron sights put the muzzle on the paper target and Mark the spot that the dot is pointing to if we are 25 yards or less and they have a better understanding of what I'm saying and it's much easier to get them dialed in,my top shooters are women it seems lol ,,
