I've been informed the rumbly white stripe is for blind people and as a legally blind person in American I have to apologize for being confused about a country actually caring about their disabled citizens enough to protect them from ending up in flowerbeds.

The white stripe has a raised pattern on it so that blind people who use those long white sticks with the ball on the end know where the edge of a pavement is. They're commonly used at crossings.

The white stripes look like the road stripes we have in Sweden for visually impaired people. Those that can see high contrast can follow it to buildings/bus stops and so on, and those with a cane can feet the "grooves" in it... in this case they will just end up in the flower bed, though, which... yeah...

At my first job, I worked at a pet grooming store We had some dogs that came in that needed help growing hair, or retaining it so we had special shampoo for it I once accidentally washed a hairless cat with it, and cried while explaining my mistake to the owners, not knowing that nothing would happen to the cat The next time the came the brought their long haired tabby cat, and I almost cried because I thought it was the hairless cat-

Took almost 8 months for me to notice, nobody brought it to my attention, so IDK if anyone noticed it. No, the italics weren't there in what I published. The word was supposed to be "shot", as in an arrow, but... I guess someone pulled down his pants and defecated into a giant spider's eyes.

The intern one with the email was quite wholesome when Lexxie explained what happened on Twitter. My physical therapists today did something similar. I told them how I suck at clay and some other forms of art that I just started out on and one of them said "When I first started, I was a horrible physical therapist. Now with some practice, look at me now." That was just a beautiful thing and hope everyone who is new at something gets the message. You may not be great at it now, but as long as you are having fun, your future self will be awesome at it. Oh what the heck, you're awesome already!!! 👌

Debenhams is a UK brand with a silent H so it is pronounced deb-en-ams. Also black tie is a sort of formal dress code rather than a literal black tie. The joys of nitpicking British people. Black tie does still usually have an actual black tie though, so it's still wrong but for a different reason

i would like to address the black tie thing, a "Black Tie event" doesn't actually require a participants to wear a black tie, it does however require them to dress "nice" like a suit and tie (THAT DOESN'T NEED TO BE BLACK)
