I know its been 2 years, but just to let people know: Milk Fever is a condition that breast feeding mammals will experience if they aren't getting enough of certain nutrients, such as calcium and potassium. All of those nutrients are being put into the milk for her babies, and there isn't enough leftover for the mother to maintain her bodily functions. You would treat this by giving the mother additional food and supplements, and possibly injections of the needed nutrients if it's particularly bad.
