Same here. If you're polite, I _will_ go the extra length for your convenience. If you're a bellend, you get the absolute minimum, and if there's a predictable setback, well ooopsie, it's not in my job description to solve it.

In regards to the Rocky and Bullwinkle story, mixed gas for chainsaws and weedeaters is typically mixed at 50:1. This mixture will not cause a vehicle to smoke, 1-2 times a year I will run race gas mixed with Castor 927 at 32:1 in y Mustang, it does no smoke. I'm not saying the story is BS, I will say their explanation as to the cause of the smoke is utterly stupid. Before anybody says I don't know what I'm talking about, I grew up on a farm cutting my own firewood with two-stroke chainsaws and raced Motocross primarily on 2 Strokes for 22 years, I happen to know a thing or two about mixed fuel.

The Wiggles story made me remember a soldier that was just as bad, but I don't know enough of his story to do it justice. I only know one piece of the story that I personally witnessed, as the guy was finally chaptered out of the Army. From stories I heard, he had a long history of being a problem soldier. Sadly I don't remember the details of the stories told to me and I'm no longer in contact with anyone from that unit that served with him.

Loved the Pvt. Wiggles story...but have few questions and comments... A) Wondering about the age of her husband. B) Why were they not eligible for military housing as they were married? C) If I understand the story correctly...this was probably her first Duty Post after Basic and AIT. So what was her MOS? D) Never heard of a 19 y.o. that messed up. E) Dang Girl if you had played by the rules...you would have been out at the least 4-5 weeks earlier. SIGH...you can't cure stupid.

Has anyone else ever been almost overwhelmed with the burning desire to track down an OP and give them a few semesters worth of free English lessons?
@sam2x13 Жыл бұрын
Considering how many of these people come from non English-speaking countries, I think they do pretty damn good.Many of these people speak English or American English as a second language better than native English speakers do.
@mustwereallydothis Жыл бұрын
@sam2x13 I agree with you for the most part, though I'm struggling to understand why you seem to think that offering free English lessons would be hurtful. I highly doubt that anyone emotionally mature enough to ever attempt speaking publicly in a foreign language could be so emotionally fragile that they can't bring themselves to accept constructive criticism. That sort of thing takes serious bravery. I have more time on my hands than I know what to do with and would happily help any of these people improve their English, just as I'm sure the vast majority of them would cheerfully do the same for me were I to ask for help learning their language. I wish I had the slightest hope of ever needing to learn another language, but my health never has, and probably never will, allowed me to travel to any country where they speak a language other than English.

For the exponential pay marketting story: Literally the only reason the company went belly up is because they chose to screw over OP instead of trying to do any negotiations. Like, just sit the employee down and say "You're doing exceedingly well with your contracts! But we can't keep up with this pay scale. Would you mind if we spread the excess from the last pay period over the next few and give you a lower quota?" Literally all it would take smh

The one about the guy who married and divorced and got his student loan debt cut in half... I think this can confirm in some, tho not most, States it can work that way. My Uncle and his wife at the time divorced with some serious business related tax debt Upon divorce, she was on the hook for half of it. She remarried and together they repaid her half. Similar to student loans, government debt is unaffected by bankruptcy and the like.Thing is, only his name was on the business documents, so...🤷♂️ Meh, similar, but not the same. Just thought it was interesting.

A guy I previously worked with told me a story. His friend, let's call him Pat, works for Revenue (I won't say which country) - Pat ordered a Pizza delivered from a place that has a policy/promise "Delivered in 30minutes (or some amount of time) or it's free. Delivery guy shows up 5 mins later. He hands it to Pat; Pat thanks him for the free pizza, since he's late. (yeah, my buddy agreed it was a bit of a jerk thing to do) The guy gets annoyed and demands payment since he's only 5mins late, but Pat says 'Hey. You shouldn't have that policy of you're not going to honor it', goes inside and closes his door. The guy rants outside and soon leaves...but not after scratching Pat's door with a key. I'm not sure if Pat phoned the Pizza place to give them a chance to fix the door and apologize, but anyway, they got audited by Revenue soon after, heavily fined and pretty much had to close down.

Proxy sugar daddy story: I am writing from someone with experience. In many US states everything that is owned, owes or is owed by either party irrespective of the time of "it's" acquisition -barring a prenuptial agreement or something similar- with the exception of personal property may be considered communal. Under every situation I have been privie to, student loans can be part of a bankruptcy 7 years after their respective maturity dates.

One of my bullies is now dead and I don't feel the least bit guilty. It was a car crash, I could have helped I looked at her and said I could be the bigger man but you made my life a living hell now enjoy the consequences. And I got up and walked away. The car was upside down and smoking and she was bleeding heavily, but I did call nine-one-one and gave out hard exact location and let God decide if she lived or died. In fact most of my bullies are Dead I don't take revenge or hold it will I harbor them. You make my life hell, I'm more than happy to make yours hell in return I've also sent a few of them to prison for the things they've done out of school, one of them beat his girlfriend so bad he put her in a coma it took everything in me not to drop him like a rock him 28 his girlfriend 16 so why make sure when he went to prison he got slapped as a pedo he didn't live long. I've always tried to keep my evil side buried but bully's bring it out and I've always try to keep it buried even now

My favourite customer service petty revenge comes from my sister. She is a manager at Hungry Jacks (Australian Burger King). When people ask for sauce, she usually just gives it out instead of charging for it, which is something the manager who trained her does, and something that corporate isn’t worried about. But, if you’re an arsehole, you pay 50c per sauce, as it is priced. I love it! As an aside, yesterday my sister had the best performing drive through in the country on her shift. This is despite also being the busiest. The second placed drive through had 4 customers in the specified time period (not sure on time, let’s say an hour) whilst her store had 120 in the same period. My sister is built to be a fast food manager apparently.

To all the people saying that the car story OP should have gone to the authorities, or the press, etc: it's possible that could have gone VERY badly for them. That's because what they did could easily be legally considered *EXTORTION.* Yes, even though the GM's company absolutely DID commit a crime. You can't force somebody to give you stuff via the threat of turning them into the police, and well… that's pretty much what OP did. All it takes is to say something along the lines of: _"Do this, or we'll call the police",_ and boom, that's extortion. If you're really savvy you could leave the reporting threat implied but unsaid, which would make charges difficult to stick; but it's not clear if OP did that or even knew to. Moreover even if they didn't, the GM could lie and claim they did which would still throw them into legal trouble. Since OP chose to take the direct path rather than go to the authorities first, letting sleeping dogs lie was likely the best choice. Also to be clear, I'm not saying this because I feel bad for the dealership (I don't), nor do I think OP really did anything morally wrong. I'm just citing the law as it's written.

While you describe them as giant dongs for treating other service workers bad - it reminds me of the "Rugby method". It runs famous through the well known english elite schools (Rugby, Eaton and so on). When new students arrive they are treated badly by their seniors (bullying, making them scrub toilets with their own toothbrush then forcing them to use said toothbrush for the intended purpose again and more). So all the new students learn: "Our seniors could bully us - and no matter who we told, nothing was done" - So their only "logical" response is to follow up when they become seniors and new students arrive - they now bully those new students, and sometimes even try to beat their seniors when executing it.

*Different states treat debts and assets differently. Infact they even treat what IS a debt vs what is an asset differently. In most States, a medical school degree is an asset, and both parties own half of it. So if you get divorced after you graduated, she ownes half you income for the rest of your life.* *You have to be VERY careful about setting yp an air-tight prenup, BEFORE you sign the marriage ceertificate!*

Subway is actually incredibly devoted to enforcing the hygiene and freshness of their brand and will react with immense scrutiny if they discover there are anything other than best practices occurring at any franchises that bear their name. I know 2 people who volunteered to be secret shoppers of their own volition without any affiliations to visiting subways and reporting anything but best practices as they were huge fans of the company and lived primarily on their food entirely. They even started social media related to it back in 2011 but stopped as it began to be tracked and they didn't want to be identified but the company actually appreciated their efforts and gave them a very generous token of appreciation in the form of monthly gift cards regardless if they continued their efforts or not lol. There is whisper that they may even have been hired in some secret degree but their campaign really took off as they also credited and praised stores that delivered satisfactory results and graded fairly. They had offers to do articles and interviews but declined as they didn't want it to actually be known they were doing it or who they were etc. I think it'd have been best if they publicly but anonymously were known that way stores may fear anyone was them or similar customers, but they started it as fun with the options of the many stores in our city but eventually did it while traveling and started traveling solely to do it especially stores with bad reviews.

I hope the same people don't have kids and then feel like their kids should take care of them when they're 70, 80, 90 years old ... I hope their kids do exactly what they plan on doing to their parents and abandon them at a home to never be seen or heard from again...
