A little context about the first story: It is ESPECIALLY bad that DHPartner did this and was caught on this. In business, it is absolutely frowned upon, and in some places illegal I believe, to give gifts such as that to clients that you are in the process of starting relations. Because it can absolutely be seen as a bribe. The fact that he used ANOTHER CLIENT'S GIFT as a bribe... Boy howdy, he got off REAL fucking easy.
@SailorMya Жыл бұрын
Yea, he would have royalty screwed himself and his partners by his actions and I'm surprised the partners didn't find a way to force/buy him out because of what a liability he has proven to be... (OP did say he wasn't going anywhere so maybe he is a majority share partner or something...) Also could have seen prison time even with the tickets at face value because of how expensive they are to begin with. He is lucky he just lost money, respect, and reputation because he would have lost everything if it had gone the other way... (Hope the partners never let him live this down and mock his stupidity often! LOL)
@zfilms4858 Жыл бұрын
So, at minimum, since the tickets had to be over $1000, this is considered to be GRAND THEFT in Califinoa, a felony punishable to around 3 years in state prison! And if it was in fact bribery, that's an aditional 4 years on the state level. Imaging going to prison for 7 years for Supetbowl Tickets

Selfish and arrogant would be my take on it. Arrogant in thinking I'm a partner, a boss, so OP will just have to like it. A year later though when the company lost the contract the other partners will still have the super bowl tickets in mind as contributing to the loss of business.

I don't feel too bad for OP2, being a landlord is an inherently predatory "job" to have. If anything I feel bad for the kid, and a bit bad for the couple, but OP2 imo deserves worse for commodifying a basic necessity of life and probably charging super high rent for an unfinished home. Better than most landlords with the first 2 months being free, and giving them a break in winter and for COVID, but honestly, shelter is a basic human right according to the UN and imo should be free. Especially if it's unfinished with no heat.

I declined so he tried playing the alpha male card, acting like he couldn't hear me. Given growing up in a military family, and doing JROTC in high school, I learned to inflect my voice rather than yell so that I can be heard better. As soon as I started, asshat got angry for my volume being louder and tried saying there's a reason for me being in retail and him owning a construction company. Had other customers in line start to move to chew him out the moment I told him to get out. You could tell her was thinking about trying to fight before he stormed out. OP, in story one I'd have told the client to cut ties then and there just to make the jerk partner even worse.

As a 49er Faithful. . . I would have committed multiple felonies if someone screwed me out of seeing the Red and Gold in the Super Bowl

I worked at an O’Reilly’s in high school and trade school, my store didn’t put up with people like the guy from story 3 he would have been kicked out and trespassed the second he yelled at another customer

Story 2 has been told before in this channel. The OP is well-known.

I like the fact I’m playing farming sim customizing a John Deere and hear “It would be like Coke and John Deere partnering together”

I wonder if OP made it the the 2024 super bowl 🤔

3rd story; honestly this entire thing of wanting to get paid to look after your siblings is typical american entitlement. As a older sibling I really didn't mind looking after my 2 younger siblings whenever my parents needed to head out. Or maybe it's because our age gap wasn't higher than 6 years combined🤔

That rent story ended up with them paying $8750. Those people are extra dumb.

Why would you be surprised that renters would take back what they put in?? OP did right by kicking them out, but then he’s shocked that they took back their stuff? Maybe OP phrased the story wrong, can someone explain please? Because if I’m renting a place I’m taking what I bought, the landlord is not going to make money off of my things

They did installation work in lieu of the first couple months rent (i.e. carpets). When they left, they tore everything they installed out also in a way that left the house in a more damaged state than when they moved in.

@@EmporerDragon I think I misunderstood. So the renters stole the landlord's things?

I don't get not paying rent for months on end. The last time I was struggling to make my rent, I picked up a second job! Lazy people suck.

Lazy people aren't the problem... They aren't doing anything... Arrogant people that act quicker than they're able to comprehend others are way more devastating to humanity as a whole~
