What did God do for the 1,200 people Hamas killed on Oct 7? What did God do for the 240 hostages Hamas kidnapped? I guess he hates Jews.

I vow to thee, my country, all earthly things above, Entire and whole and perfect, the service of my love; The love that asks no question, the love that stands the test, That lays upon the altar the dearest and the best; The love that never falters, the love that pays the price, The love that makes undaunted the final sacrifice. And there's another country, I've heard of long ago, Most dear to them that love her, most great to them that know; We may not count her armies, we may not see her King; Her fortress is a faithful heart, her pride is suffering; And soul by soul and silently her shining bounds increase, And her ways are ways of gentleness, and all her paths are peace. Farewell to Her Majesty

What’s a Roman (catholic) hymn? We sing in the Anglican Church and Methodist churches and probably lots of other types of churches. And if a Christian tradition must be identified, the hymn text was written by an Anglican priest. The Roman church sings all kinds of non-Roman hymns (Charles Wesley, to name one person). Hymnody belongs to the whole Church! Blessings.

@@geofflloyd8745 Actually, this text was written by an Anglican priest who lived in the 20th century.

Could work really well with the wedding text: “We pledge to one another” which is set to Thaxted. Christopher Helyer
