As a Hungarian, we don't really have monsters, we have stuff like the "Kis gömböc" which is basically a pig's stomach filled with ground up pig organs, that became sentient and attempted to eat an entire village, only stopped by a shepeard's knife. I recommend using this one to curse people.

magyar népmesék with their mundane forest fauna villains but also multiple-headed dragons and sentient inanimate objects as well as "silver woods", "copper fields" and "diamond mountains" beyond the "Óperenciás" sea really made us see the world differently. The elephant thing is a reference to a "white elephant gift" which today is usually cheap silly Xmas gifts at office parties, but originally it was an actual white elephant and gifted to ppl you don't like, bc they are big and expensive and create a lot of problems. But you can't just refuse or give it away bc it was a gift, that's the idea at least ☺️

The elephant question is a simplified version of the white elephant problem. If you hated someone, you could gift them a white elephant. They were sacred, so you couldn't get rid of it or even use it for work like other elephants, but still had to care for it, so you had to act grateful for a giant money pit. Hence white elephant gift exchanges now.

I was relatively good in that regard, but two moments I remember with total clarity. One was when I was going on a school trip to Weymouth (this was a regular thing, the 4th years, some 5th years who had been the year before to act as chaperones, which lead to Matty Heliwell getting in trouble for blasphemy, but that's a whole different story....😉) and on a hot day the teachers thought it was a good idea to give us milk with our packed lunches. Cue acts of projectile vomiting around the coach - and me prostrate with nausea but unable to be sick, other than spit sick if you know what I mean. Fun times....😃🤮. The next occurrence was finding out if you put milk and or cream in a chicken pie, I'll huey like nobody's business! Fine with chicken in a cream sauce normally, or cream of chicken soup, but creamed chicken in a pie? No way, just no bloody way! (Also can be a little nauseous with creamed chicken with rice, but that's hit and miss, and nowhere near as bad ) What makes this worse it that I LOVE chicken. But that's my two worst ones, so that it's probably no surprise that I've turned into a bit of a gutlord.....🤔

Lexi - my parents, well mainly my mother, went through this thing where she tried all kinds of things for my ADHD, including "family therapy" and even put me in a psych ward at 9 years old for kids ages 8-18 that had all kinds of problems, before finally taking me completely OFF my medication at 10 years old and telling me to "deal with it" and to "learn the triggers" and "fight them off" on my own. My son has ADHD and I've made sure that he's got the tools needed to help him handle daily life, school, and the anxiety that he faces. I won't let him go through this on his own because I know what it's like to be punished for something you literally cannot help and be told that you aren't good enough because you're having an anxiety attack and the person who is supposed to be there for you is literally the last person in your corner and willing to help you. That will NOT be my child. Soo...yeah, I get it.

My response to the given an elephant question: Once given the elephant, I would sell my property and buy a very large amount of farmland. I’d set up the Elephant there with everything it needs to live, and I’d start to charge people to come by and see the elephant. As time goes on, and I raise money, I’d make more and more improvements to the property, and eventually I would search for another elephant of a similar age to be a companion to my elephant. And as more time goes on, I’d eventually start hiring employees, constructing more enclosures, and purchasing other animals to keep in their suitably large enclosures, each suited to that animal’s habitat. Charge more money, get more profit, more workers that are paid well, get more animals and expand more, rinse and repeat the cycle, and now, many years later, I’m the owner of a very profitable zoo, thanks to the generous donation of a single elephant.

I answered the elephant job application question on another video somewhere on this platform. I stand by my answer. Which basically boiled down to turning the gifted elephant into a business venture so that eventually it not only pays for itself, but becomes a new source of income for you.

0:35 - As an elementary school teacher, that is still very much a thing. Oddly, the chances of it happening increases the closer it gets to the end of the day, with the most happening in like the last 30 minutes of right before we leave

For some reason watching this on a firestick starts the audio with the grandma story, desyncing everything by like 5 seconds! Only on the firesticks though?!?

9:45 so on the school announcements today they’re talking about this book club, where they would let you know read books that we usually band and or challenged in our school or like the general public. In that announcement, they mentioned the book The Giver by Lois Lourey, and it had Harry Potter because witchcraft

I don't know how to explain this but Roku won't play correctly for just this video. The sound is a whole image ahead, but it plays it the same wrong way every time and it's only this video. I came to the comments on my phone to see if it was a video glitch only for my phone to play the audio perfectly fine. I don't understand how it could be just this one video on just this one device.

The "two types of people packing for a trip" is such a personal attack. Bonus level: you both have ADHD, so you're both both types of packer. Meaning you start packing six days before a trip, wake up the morning of to realise you need to do a load of laundry... and then when you finally get to your destination you realise that you forgot to pack your charger and left without the bag of important shit you'd left by the front door so you wouldn't leave without it. P.S I had a hyperfixation on Marie Kondo's Tidying Up in 2019, we endured lockdown taking zoom meetings from beanbags in the living room because none of our furniture sparked joy.

My mom in her early years of college went to France for schooling and one of the roommates was abusive to the others. When she was there, she developed a kidney infection and had to take a high dose of laxatives. While there, she started overcoming her symptoms and didn’t need as much laxatives, but she had so much of it. The friends one time on the weekend went to a bar to hang out and when the abusive roommate didn’t look, she dumped a dangerous dose into his drink. For the next week, he had to live in the bathroom and shit all over the dorm room. He thought it was from the salad he ate. He didn’t suspect any wrongdoing and he didn’t know until 6 years later. Thankfully, my mom didn’t get charges from the incident.

Wait, what about the people who start packing two weeks in advance? That's my family. We have most things in the suitcase, plus a list of things to add at the last minute as we need them on a daily basis. But it still happens quite often "Where's such and such?" "Oh, I already packed it." and then sometimes we have to somewhat unpack again because we need stuff. But still, it saves forgetting stuff and makes the actual day a little less stressful.

This video reminded me of the graphic novel King City; that whole thing is a trip. One of the main characters is a cat named Earthling JJ Castworthy III, yes that is the cat's actual name, and the cat is a super genius that also gains powers as needed when he gets special injections, which actually happens in the comic, one of the least crazy things you encounter is a product called "Turtle Cola," which is a brand of soda that in-universe is stated to have over 300 flavors, one of the main characters literally ends up drinking a soda that is "divorce" flavored and says he doesn't like it because it is too bitter.

As a Hungarian i know a few monsters. There is a monster called "Rézfaszú bagoly" . Which translate to Copper d**ck Owl. Which came to you at night if you were a bad kid and didn't go to bed when you were told. Or the "Vasorrú bába" which translate to "Iron nose witch". There are several Hungarian folklore story where this "witch" is the main evil.

Once pre-covid, I was really sick, so a friend drove me to Walmart at like 11:00 at night. I felt so bad, I just said "F it" and wore my Hello Kitty fleece footie pajamas and slippers to the store. As we're walking in, my friend made a comment about how I'd be the weirdest looking person in there, and some lady who was walking toward us going to her car goes "Oh no. You should have seen the other day. There were these girls in leotards and colored wigs!" I started laughing so hard I barely managed to say "That was me, too!!!!" between breaths. It was near Halloween, and we had had a student costume party at the local college. A different friend and I each needed something for class, so we ran to Walmart to get it, still in our costumes. I was Rock Lee, so I was wearing a leotard, and my friend was that pink haired chick from HuniePop. I explained to the lady, and she goes "Well, then I suppose you're the weird one twice!" Proudest moment of my life!

2:43 I'm the kind of person to pack the night before, not get enough sleep, and either fall asleep in the car or stay up until late at night where my family is going before waking up in the middle of the night. Idk why but every night I stay in a hotel, I wake up in the middle of the night
