This song is truly a total package. JaiDev, LM and SL set this song. WR was asked to dance on a glass floor by the dance master. Studio lighting had to adjusted to avoid bounce/ reflection etc against the glass floor. The camera too had to follow the movement. SD as daaku is pure gold. Even Madam ji Manorama s worrisome expressions are a feast.

@@harpritrandhawa7603 No one could've done justice to this marvel as Didi did, not even Asha Bhosle or Geeta Dutt, and certainly not Suman Kalyanpur. This song is far from easy to sing, and none of the female singers plying their craft in the early '60s were as technically and classically accomplished as The Lata Mangeshkar. There are artists who either preceded or competed with her earlier who could've potentially sung this song well (I have Noorjehan and Shamshad Begum in mind), but both had typical Islamic-sounding voices with strong nasal accents, and it is unlikely their product would've had the effect Lataji's flawless singing had in this instance. I agree, that said, that the greatest merit goes to Jaidevji. He was a true genius.
