In the first story I was already thinking "oh my god is this old creep hitting on the young girl at the reception while his wife is in the hospital???" Then he said he hasn't eaten alone in 50 years and didn't want to start now and all of a sudden it became super wholesome instead :) dude, wherever you are, I'm sorry I initially judged you badly, and I'm very sorry for your loss. Unfortunately there are a lot more sucky people than good ones, so I guess I just tend to assume the former 😪

@bigdog3628
@bigdog3628 3 жыл бұрын
oh please this whole "lockdown" thing is a fucking joke compared to prison. If it was the way I think it should be, then you don't leave your house unless: A:) it is on fire B:) you are having a severe life threatening emergency c:) you are a doctor, fire fighter, cop, or work for National guard How do you do groceries you ask? Well that is why National guard was part of option C above. They run the grocery stores and deliver the stuff to citizens in a district. The economy shuts down and then when everything is over every citizen rich or poor, kicks in $1 to help the economy recover. No tax shenanigans of any kind. Now, obviously that is ridiculous, just like what everyone you meet is saying, is ridiculous. TL;DR, I was being sarcastic to show how ridiculous some people are. So game on fellow gamer "May your framerates be high and your temperatures low" I will also like to append that prayer by adding "and may this stupid GPU shortage end very soon, so I can finally upgrade my F!@#$%^ GTX 1080 without paying 3x's the MSRP to scumbag scalpers." OK Rant and prayer over have a nice day :)

Happy 7th Anniversary! ❤️ Wishing you, & your husband, & your family every Joy, & God's Blessings, now & always. 💗 Yes. Things can change in one split-second. We should _ALL_ spend every minute of every day-- in which we are lucky & Blessed enough to be with those whom we Love --expressing, showing, & *_LIVING_*_ the Love_ that we have for them. 💗 We truly never know which moment, & which interaction may be our last. Expressing, showing, & *_LIVING_*_ our Love_ is the only way to be assured of not having our grief complicated by guilt & regret, when the inevitable happens. (Because death WILL happen, to each of us-- truly, it's just a matter of which of us will leave their body first.) And, having lost many, many people whom I Love, & having gone through my Father's grief over losing my Mother, his wife & sweetheart of 49 years, with him-- (not truly _with him,_ of course, because grief is personal, & it's a terrible road which we all must, essentially, walk alone, & no one can take it away from us, even when they desperately want to... ...but having moved back to my childhood home so that he would not be ALL ALONE in it, & would have whatever support, nurturing, compassion, company, & care I could provide, & so that I could make sure that he ate, & that he did not endure _any_ of the potential challenges, vulnerabilities, & difficulties of grief & of aging, ALONE) --I can say that it is devastating enough to lose our Beloveds, without being t0rtvred by knowing that _we did _*_NOT_*_ do_ *everything* that we *possibly* could, to express, show, & *_LIVE_*_ our Love,_ gratitude, & appreciation for those we Love, *_TO those we Love,_* in every way possible, every moment of every day. *_Grief is a living hell._* Grief can be a cutting, grinding, tormenting, k¡11ing thing, which some may not survive. (Or, they may survive physically, but d¡e, emotionally.) Many more *_DO_* survive, but, tragically, *_WISH_* that they _would _*_not_*_ survive._ 💔 Adding regret & self-recrimination to it, can make it 333³³ times more hellish. I know THAT, far too well, from very personal experience, too. And, just as tragic & painful, is _MISSING OUT ON_ the wonderful beauty, wonder, & BLISS that life can be, when we are expressing & *_LIVING_*_ the Love_ that we have for someone-- whether our spouse, our children, our parents, our family, our friends, or our fur-babies. There is _no time like _*_NOW_* to *_LIVE_*_ the Love_ we have for our beloveds! *_Literally._* *Not one of us, nor our beloveds, is guaranteed **_one more moment_** on this planet.* And, *even if we have 100 more years* with those whom we Love-- that 100 years will be *so much more WONDERFUL, BEAUTIFUL, JOYFUL, & FULFILLING,* _if we _*_LIVE_*_ that Love,_ rather than _assuming_ that our beloveds know our feelings, or--& ESPECIALLY--than it is, if we waste time engaged in drama, & trauma, fighting about silly things, or waste time doing things like watching tv, or obsessing over whether every dish is washed immediately after use, or any of an infinite array of other things which waste time, energy, consciousness, & our opportunity to *_LIVE the Love_* we feel for the Beloveds with whom we are Blessed. 💗

my question about the disney land one. why wouldnt you want to sell tickets and make money?
@adamgourley6412
@adamgourley6412 4 жыл бұрын
Exactly. Disney doesn’t *want* to have to shut down their parks because they are losing a ton of money along most of their other revenue sources (movies and tv production, cruise line, hotels and other vacation destinations) . But Disney’s number one value is guest safety and they’re not going to do anything to endanger that, so closed will the parks stay until the situation improves.

The first story hit me hard. I work in IT in a hospital so i come across stories like this every so often. It's heat breaking but when someone like this ask for help we will bend the rules a bit and help them out with their personal devices to get them on our guest network or recommend things to get them back up and running again. Sometimes now this involves loaning them devices so they can "FaceTime" friends and family while they are isolated in the hospital. Small acts of kindness can mean the world to people in need!

I always love when potential customers accuse businesses of not WANTING to do business. "You have to sell me tickets, you just don't want to"
@adamgourley6412
@adamgourley6412 4 жыл бұрын
Exactly. Disney would love to be open and have us be able to visit, partially because they’re losing a ton of money on this ( but hey, they’re a business) and also so they can do their magic for us. But the thing is, guest safety is Disney’s top priority, and they won’t do anything to endanger that, so closed the parks will stay until things improve.
