OMG I have just had the cold realisation that I am a Dave. They always say acceptance is the first step to recovery ...lol. Apart from the riding the accessories is the next best thing about owning a GS. Long live the legend of Dave!

Thank you Andy for your reply,I will look into these! I'm loving the exclusive,part exchange my 2014 TE for it. Smoother box, better comfort,engine seems less ''rattley''. The TFF Screen is lovely!...

Fitted the side lights and they look great, one thing I did different though was to drill a small hole behind bracket to feed wires through, so you don't see wires.

I think I’m the Dutch version of Dave 😄. Just swapped my perfect my 2015 GS for a 2018 GSA just like Dave’s mainly for the TFT, the better gear box, langer tank and beasty GSA looks. The Touratech importer is only 30 km away from my home.... 🙈😄

Enjoy your videos! You're having fun and that's all that matters. I like the GoPro mount on the front. Was thinking about adding one but I use a Send 10C which already has the front covered so have been putting it off. Good idea anyway. Happy New Year and looking forward to your next trip guys!

Just wondering on this epic adventure how much shoppjng did Dave manage to put in his panniers and top box? Have you got a link for the plastic headlight guard? Failing that let me know where Dave will be parked next weekend so I can pull his off and pinch his. Cheers Ade

For useful lights check out Skene Designs, especially for their tail lights. Easy install, and obnoxiously attention getting for very small lights. Mudsling is pretty useful for protecting that rear shock, I have one. Cylinder head guards only needed if no crash bars.

Thanks ! i will check the lights out, Andy will love them. I do need more lights. Happy New Year! Dave.

This week i have decided to fit the Denalli Cansmart contoller to my gsa Rally, and with this i will fit the Denali D4's and Denali Soundbomb. So the Cammart will give me an easy way to fit the Skene's and control them. Hopefully Andy and myself will be able to put out a info video about the setup and working of there's items. Regards Dave.

Thanks for sharing. Great video. The newer front lights were redesigned so if you break or crack the front cover you do not have to replace the entire front light assembly like I guess you used to have to do. You simply remove the front bezel and the cover and replace that. I'm sure it is only a few dollars...or pounds in your case, but certainly no where near $1,000 I don't think. Still I would recommend a guard in any case.

Love those accessories boys. All pretty and all useful. Think a Dave needs some of those little Touratech bags that hang on each side of the bikes protection bars, and probably some extra soft luggage to strap to the side panniers, oh and ??? I bet I could get another grands worth of things that Dave doesn’t even know he needs yet. Happy new year to you both. Ps Dave get the bloody bike cleaned mate, it’s a disgrace👍🏻👍🏻🏍🏍😂

Hey Andy/ Dave, thanks for the video, love them informative & make me laugh. Really interested in the small LED fairing lights on Andy's bike. The link advises pages not found. I have searched and cannot find. Do they still make them? Any others you can recommend? Thanks again

Looks like they've stopped making them as this video is now a few years old. I would recommend something like a Denali system - denalielectronics.com/collections/led-drl-backup-lights

Ok Andy, I've been looking at the Garmin camera, did you use the charging cable to permanently power it or is there another cable I would need to buy?

Happy New Year, I have the standard GS Triple Black, accessories all useful, Mudsling front and back, Wunderlich rack bags, wind deflectors and GoPro mount, also starter motor and rear brake covers from Touratech. Wunderlich bar bag, Optimate dual USB socket, Puig Black engine bars and touring screen. Radiator guards are essential, mine are from Rizoma, auxiliary lights from BMW. Hi Andy & Dave, just been watching a few of your videos, great stuff. Andy, do you find your GS is a good compromise between your old 1200R & the GSA. I have a 2017 standard Triple Black & went for it over the GSA because of the size, weight & sportier handling, I guess you did the same. BTW I also have the film type of headlight protector, ideal ;-)
@andybcole7 жыл бұрын
That was pretty much my logic and the only thing I miss on the GS is the 150 less miles in the tank.
@andyg74297 жыл бұрын
A small price to pay for all the advantages in my opinion. Can you realistically ride 350 miles without stopping anyway!

Really enjoy the videos, one question on the micro flooters from Wunderlich after fitting do they require to be switched on via bmw tech’s computer as does spotlights Bry
@andybcole7 жыл бұрын
No I have them wired in to the auxiliary socket so they are permanently on, going off when the bike is off...
@bryanrobertson12987 жыл бұрын
Cheers
@bryanrobertson12986 жыл бұрын
Hi Andy Not having a great electrical knowledge how did you wire the flooters up to a auxiliary socket
@andybcole6 жыл бұрын
Bryan Robertson Hi Bryan, the auxiliary socket has two leads coming from the back of it, splice the lights into those two leads. It’s a bit fiddly as there isn’t much wire to play with. If you’re not confident I’d suggest getting an electrician to do it as it’s easy to wire them the wrong way round or make a mess of it and knacker the aux socket!

fjrboy personally I use a Garmin VIRB XE as it is easy to power permanently from a USB socket, uses a GoPro mount and the footage is good. It also has all the sensors built in. Gopros are good but a pain to power permanently and retain a waterproof camera

that is horrible, because United States-based website doesn't say that... in the representative from the United States company aspect said that is not true... . I love you guys and I appreciate you pointing that out to me, and of course I'm the kind of person who is also spent all his money on everything touratech makes on 2 GS and 2 GS adventure bikes... LOL... I live in Florida, where it is very hot. So now I don't know what to do. I can't believe that a company can't even agree on it. UK versus US based websites. . All of what was said that you just linked me to was on the US side as well, except for the part about the heat rejection. Got to love this company. . Thanks for your reply. I really appreciate please continue to make entertaining, thoughtful, and fantastic videos. , Greg
