Got this bike Liz, it’s a corker for real world UK roads and tours. Longest ride in one day (so far) 405 miles, for the price I think it represents great value. Thanks for your channel. Always love watching your uploads.

Another great (but wet) video. Looks like a great middleweight sports tourer. Not for me, but great to see what's out there 💙

Hi Liz, I’ve heard good things about the i2i knee down academy (with some crazy demos on their KZbin), might be worth looking at.

I was thinking of getting this bike or possibly the vstrom 800re with the same engine.

Granted, i've never owned a bmw, but 3 weeks sounds mental. I will just take my Yamaha in for a 20k service tomorrow, and i will wait for it in the shop.

It’s got some problems covered by warranty and the 3 weeks is waiting for BMW to respond to them, not a dealer delay 🥲

Really looking at getting of these, I love the blue too, but the US and ther places get a nice yellow, which I'd prefer .. How come that's not an option here?

US and Europe get different colours for lots of things, Yamaha, Suzuki, Shoei are first examples that spring to mind

Would this be a good touring bike for us that don’t want a touring bike? Thinking a GT version of this might be nice.

I have the BMW F800GT which is a sport tourer, sporty but not an extreme sitting position, it’s just a tad forward from upright.

Just subscribed to your channel. Can you do a video on how to carry passengers? Wanting to take a few friends for a ride.

Thanks for the subscribe! My insurance on my own bikes doesn’t include pillion cover so I am unlikely to be taking anyone on the back. I have carried pillions in the past and usually once you’re going you won’t even notice a good pillion is there, it’s being stationary that takes a bit of concentration and extra care, and increase your stopping distances. Try to start with someone small to get used to the weight moving around on the back.

Liz, that bike gels with you better than pinky (sorry)

Probably 😂

I like the bike but can’t get over the handlebars, it should of had proper clipons like the R7, not those things that look like they were stolen off a passing jet ski.

I’m with you 100%, I too am tired of bikes being marketed as sportsbikes but built to cater to everyone’s comfort. However, this seems to be the way things are going and I can’t fight it so I’m trying to be positive, however, you are right. Even the R7 is not a particularly sporty riding position…

@@R1_Liz even clipons above the yoke would be better than the swan neck things it comes with, plus it would make it possible to modify. If you wanted to change the bars as it stands you’d need an aftermarket top yoke. As you say most bikes these days are trying to be neither fish nor fowl and I’m not sure I like it.

If you won’t to be a better rider do your IAM Advanced course. Better than wheels and front stoppies and getting your knee down that’s not good riding it’s show boating. It won’t save your life.
@R1_Liz3 ай бұрын
I’d love to have a go at IAM and I enjoy the training related to safer riding BUT I also want to get my knee down and learn to wheelie. The world is a big old bakery and I want a slice of all the pies.

@@R1_Liz if you contact your local IAM they will give you a free taster session before you buy your course.
