I remember when I first bought my old 09 R1 and it I remember correctly that was the first year of the cross-plane engine design. So at first I wasn’t a big fan of the different exhaust sound it has compared to my 08 Gix 1k but after I threw on some slip-ons it grew one me and I eventually fell in love with it. The power was definitely there and all I had done was the slip-ons and a tune haha but it was a fun bike. I definitely miss that bike but these days I’m more comfy on baggers lol I’m getting old lol I turn 41 next year haha 😆 plus when I got into the MC scene I was required to own a American made scoot lol big later on I found out that there was an all sport bike R&G support club and I could’ve kept my rocket and joined them lmao oh well I was actually a founding member of the MC I was with back then. Shiny side up older Brother to D.Prescott 😂😂😂😂 real talk though that R1 makes me miss mine! Skål 🍻 you heathens! ⛏️⚔️🗡️ Oh if you come back the DFW area hit me up I’d like to see that R1 in person, videos don’t do it justice and the it doesn’t give the exhaust the proper credit it’s due lol.
