It would have to be a gtr front clip, the front frame rails are different (stepped) and gtst are flat like 240s. that also means strut towers are shorter on gtrs, JimmyO found out the hard way on his 34 gtt

Dont waste your time redoing them them. Refill ,prime and paint. No rust there. Concentrate on on rust repairs and the end goal. Dont go any further down the rabbit hole than you need to. 😊

Kalvin I agree with this comment, I would run those wheel wells and just use that good quality filler. It will save you a lot of time, and it will turn out great. I am not against learning and adding another tool to your “tool box”. But I’m not sure the work is worth it to redo those wheel wells.

Yeah there’s no point seal it up properly with epoxy smooth it out with a quality filler in the bay in the wheel well it’s gonna get a coat of epoxy and I’m guessing somethpe if undercoating or rock guard and boom you won’t even be able to tell don’t be ignorant and create more work where it doesn’t need it and honestly it looks better than stock that way and cleaner

Hi, I'm from Turin in Italy. I've been watching your journey with the GTR from the start. I've been watching all the videos of your restoration and I'm just waiting to see the day you finish it. I think that, as you said multiple times, this is indeed a blessing in disguise. Once you finish it i can't even imagine the feeling of accomplishment that you will get. You will for sure have a car for life with an incredibile and documented history to keep. I also believe that a lot of the people that have been wathcing the series, me as well, will feel like they somehow are part of this car's history, having seen the journey from the very beginning. That being said I wish you the best of luck and keep on grinding!

It's you're car so might as well do you're best. Get two cameras. One put on a stationary full size tripod and leave it. All you need to is turn it on and hit record, and pop out the card when it’s full. The second one put on a small tripod that’s easy to move… again, leave it on there and just pop out the card. Get a Jackery or some sort of power pack to run to charge them. But that should make it easier and more efficient so when you don’t feel like filming there’s no excuse because they’re already setup and ready to just hit record and GO! Hope that helps.

Another Aussie here. Mate tidy up the welds on the tubs a bit more, hammer and dolly them as flat as possible, skim of filler and send it. Waste of your time and money to redo them. With the roof, go for it! Nothing to lose. If it works, it works! Fibreglass for the mould and the carbon fibre really aren’t that expensive so even just for fun give it a crack!

I watch many different auto resto channels, yours is the most inspirational because it's like a lot of us--just one person, learning as you go along, making mistakes along the way. Can just use trailer fenders or whatever they're called, and cut em in half. Then Weld em on. Doing em manually, with the English wheel thing would take super long. Or you can buy oem arches, and Weld em in.

Hey Kalvin...I'm a metal shaping enthusiast, if you wanna call it that lol. I say 100% invest in a few tools to try your hand at it. You already have a good base going from what you've taught yourself with this project. I have been using a $125 cheap English wheel for years. It works, decent enough. Some inexpensive shrinker/stretcher set and you'll be on your way!!

Ive made my own molds and carbon parts from mostly youtube and some advice from my dad, just take your time and work clean, that will lower frustration, its not super hard, once you do it you’ll see.
