Best KZbin vid on this subject. Will mention once the radiator is filled up, start the car and put the heater on. Then unscrew BOTH air valves on either side of the plenum until you can hear air hissing out. Let the car run while giving it the odd little rev until coolant comes out steadily from the air valves. Then re tighten, top up overflow and you’re finished. Thanks again for the tutorial, best put together one on YT !! :)

hmm first day time then night, then day time then night again. did u do this over 2 days. Respect. A real car lover takes their time with their baby. Me personally if replacing the coolant and giving a good flush, I will replace hoses that look cruddy and the thermostat all at the same time, then I know I dont have to touch it for a long time. Nice video, I'm glad I got my flush right when I read up about it, but the video really helps

Good video, except RB25DET NEO has two coolant bleed locations. Which I found out after I blew the coolant hose behind the engine. Possibly from not bleeding it right.

I think I’ve just done the same thing lol

So where are the two bleed locations?

Great video. I reckon this process is the same for an R32 RB20DET?

Great video man, I'm trying to do this with my r33 gts-t... however your coolant actually looked like coolant. Guys before me in Japan ran this engine with just water and its soooo rusty... people have been telling me to disconnect my heater core hoses and flush water through them. Can I just do the method you showed in this video until it runs clear? Thanks again for the video
@hasinud7 жыл бұрын
You might have to both. First the flushing with water and then as shown on this video. Else it will take u a lot more tries to get clear water.

Do you have to keep removing the engine block bung as well as the radiator bung every flush or just the radiator one?
@johnog8696 Жыл бұрын
It's up to you. Doesn't really matter because the coolant from the block should mix with the water in the radiator and eventually go clear after multiple flushes.

Nice video, continue this great job !!

I saw that you put the tstat in a different orientation than when you removed it. I did the same thing. Does it matter or not?
@johnog86963 жыл бұрын
I just noticed looking back at this vid that I must have had a weird thermostat because I've since replaced it with a genuine nissan one that has a little hole. And that hole must face up so that air can escape
@arlokkkk3 жыл бұрын
@@johnog8696 okay so I have to remove mine again and make sure that the little hole is pointing up right?

I need help. I get mixed reviews from everybody. I’m looking to buy a skyline r34 with automatic transmission non turbo this is the engine it has RB25DE NEO with 61,400 miles. With no mods Would it be good for a daily drive?
@johnog86962 ай бұрын
Yeah, that is pretty good millage turbo or not. Mine had almost the same when I bought it about 9 years ago and I daily it everyday to and from work. Although, I have swapped out the engine about 3 years ago with a fresh recon'd RB30 bottom end and a few mods. Still going strong as a daily. I would just replace all engine fluids and plugs (maybe even the coil packs too) if I were you for peace of mind. I would maybe also verify if the millage is true with an online japanese odometer check because that is pretty low for a R34 these days. I wouldn't be surprised if previous owners swapped out the cluster.
