R34 Nissan Skyline: Finally got the GTR front end on the GTT mounted!

after much wait, finally got all the OEM piece to go with my front end conversion. From every bolt, clip, bracket.. everything was ordered from Nissan to replicate originality as much as possible. Overall, I'm super happy with how the front end looks. Next up are the rear quarter panels, rear bumper, skirts and paint!

I’ll be in the same boat. Definitely nothing wrong with having the GTR emblems on. It’s your car at the end of the day and at the speed you’re going, it’s going to look perfect once it’s all done! Keep up these 34 videos they’re truly great!

If everything is converted as GTR then it’s a gtr, it’s okay to put the emblem so what ?..... plus you get to save a lot

The end product is going to be beautiful. Dream car and bayside blue is also dream color! Also for the CD009 trans with collins adaptor did u have to cut the tranny?

thanks!! I had to cut the bell housing .. but I believe they have a new kit now which is easier to do without having to cut? I only heard about it never really looked into it

@@tklgarage dope, I may go that route because I don’t want to cut the bell housing , and not about to drop 12k on a r34 tranny either. That could be for the motor. My dream car is R34. Undecided on GTT or GTR

Congrats! Your local Nissan dealer is typically the cheapest (some dealers are less than others - you can shop around on Nissans parts page). Tkgt cars also has some good pricing

Did you change the hood? I have a cwest on mine, but I’m going to take it off to track it, and I like your setup! Nvm I saw the part of the vid. Do you have a video of that steering wheel replacement?

Yup! Went with the oem hood since it was cost effective . Might switch it up to a seibon ztune style hood

No video of the steering wheel replacement but super easy to do. There’s torx bolts holding the airbag on, take those off (make sure you disconnect the battery) , unclip the wires and the air bag slips off.. once the airbag is off, you have to take off the large center bolt (forgot the bolt size), takes some finesse but towards you (they sell a tool to help pull the steering wheel off but I was able to yank mine off) that’s all you need to do!

All oem parts from my local Nissan dealership, they can order any part that isn’t discontinued

how did you manage to get the horn mounted like that? i also have the horn but dont have those brackets and it is just sort of hanging

The brackets came with the sport horn.. the hood latch for the gtr has mounting holes on it , while the gtt goes vertical

I bought my fenders 3 years ago so paid a lot ! But front bumper from Nissan dealer ran me $300 . Just search Nissan parts and Input the part number 62022-aa425

I initially ordered the entire z tune front but the wait was so long I ended up canceling. I just sold my oem bumper and have a ztune bumper coming soon! Tempted to sell the hood and get the z tune as well but can’t justify the price anymore

@@tklgarage just get a copy, East bear doesnt exist anymore so i just got a copy and carbon z tune bonnet and painted it factory colour. The panel beater will know how to make it fit n look legit

@@Tatteredghost96 i want everything oem for perfect fitment… and even with some of the aftermarket fenders/ hoods, i dislike the wave you see in the panel /reflection .. I might consider a seibon hood. Still debating. Any pics or vids of your car ?

@@tklgarage the oem parts off a gtr still need mods though thats y i had to settle with replicas, east bear was gtr aero parts made specifically for the GTT. It just depends who you get the parts from. I wanted the genuine nismo R tune hood for my gtt but i didnt think $6k was worth it if it still needs trimming, same with the carbon front z tune bumper, it would still need trimming n fitting and that was $5k too lol. Pity east bear doesnt exist anymore they were perfect. Ive got my parts from carbonetics in Sydney so far just the front bumper n lip so far n it fits like a globe, im gettin just waiting on the carbon z tune vented hood still, but im gettin the oem gtr retainer bars and rubber seal though for perfect fitting. No pics atm, gotta get the hood fitted and painted. Waiting on it. Sont forget the eyelids. They look sick

My oem gtr parts didn’t need any modifications though… Only thing that will need to be modified would be my rear quarter panels . Either way, aftermarket parts cost a lot more since I’m in the states and shipping is a lot . Oem parts I can just get delivered from my local dealership

Once I get the entire body completed and painted , planning on getting lmgt4’s And yeh, it’s an HR34 body, rb25det neo engine and cd009 trans. Got a Frankenstein setup going here lol

@@tklgarage Sounds good. Any plans on the fitment of the LMGTs? Just interested in how it'll go with the wider front but the original rear quarters and whether it'll look balanced. Also, are those the Behrman replacement lenses?

​@@Chaosvex yes, Behrman lenses, highly recommend (time consuming to do but well worth it at the end!).. I have OEM GTR rear quarter panels, bumper, tail covers, etc waiting to go on, just researching shops to get it done right and then paint. Going to get wheels once its all done

Its not a gtt you got gt fender badges gt dash and gt brakes on the car are u sure you didnt get scammed by someone saying it was gtt?

Gt fender badges are on all trim r34 skylines .. nonetheless, it is a GT with GTT neo swapped into it (which I later found out but wasn’t an issue since I’m swapping everything out )
