Just some extra information to back up Herman: I had some Chinese Toyota imitation coils on my Lexus and they only lasted about 30.000 kilometers. They could not handle the heat of extended 200 kph / 120 mph driving on the autobahn and some track days. If you have an oscilloscope you can actually measure the dwell current of imitation coils to know how good they are. My assumption - Andrew is a Nissan enthusiast, has been forever. You don't own a GTR and then put a 2JZ in it etc, plus in Australia the RB is a lot more common than JZ. We have the 20/25/26/30 etc so the RB is not hard for parts in Australia. I'm sure Andrew would have his own input but that would be my best guess. He's a Nissan enthusiast, always has been, and he has never said the RB is superior to the JZ series - it's just that what his cars have, and some people also just hate the idea of having a JZ in a Nissan (i put a barra in a nissan and people hate it)
