I didnt get to do this but this is what I wanted to do almost 20 years ago when I had my jetta coupe. After I did my first vr6 swap I wanted to drag race it and keep getting the next and best vr hoping for 10s one day na. I got rid of it like a dummy and since then I just keep day dreaming of one day building a 3.6 coupe with Rado vr transmission. I think 2025 ill try to build me one finally

Check the head bolts! I know a bunch of the Atlas VR’s had problems warping heads and eating coolant via the head gasket. Love the content!

Appreciate it, this one seems okay so far. No excess coolant pressure yet. Ive been keeping an eye on it.

Do you think there will be a big difference in the heads ? You spent alotta time on that old head 😮

Not sure yet If i had extra money i ld send the old one out to be flow tested but not able at this time. I plan to make another head the same way if i can find one for the atlas motor reasonably priced
