Hi, I repaired a 02k gearbox, i just changed the big ball bearing on the end of primary shaft of the gearbox located oposed to the engine. Now, only when I drive gearbox is very noisy. What is the problem? How to fix?

More things to consider than just weight like wheel base and just room in general I have lots more to cut out, and i want to be able to race in events that have weight restrictions

Do you happen to know if it would fit a mk3 without hitting the frame rail? I think from what I have read is BLV/BWS pulley is smaller and won't the framerail😅

Single bolt crank pulley will clear Multi bolt crank pulley will not clear

hi there, really informative video. I have downloaded these and the 1.8t ones for future reference just bcus your are really good at explaning things just a couple of questions if I may, hopefully you'll see this. Judging by your responce to the comments, and hearting all comments I think my questions will be answered😅 I'm 99% the trans is off a mk3/mk4 vr6, otherwise the bell housing is different am I right? It's a stupid question but hey 😅 Also the vr6 mounts, would the tdi mounts be the same or do they need to be from a vr6? here locally I have plenty of access to tdi's mk3's and mk4's. Thanks in advance, and major props to you. Even tho I'm not planning to do 1.8t or 3.6 swap right now, I just love watching your videos I'm sure your videos will be a lot of help in the future 😊

Bellhousing similar mk3 02a mk4 02j O2j has more holes to bolt to oil pan Vr6 bell housing between both fits any vr6 The only Tdi mount you can use is the trans mount The other 2 only for 4cyl

Wondering how it's doing now that it's been two years? How did you configure the bottom chord length for the scissor truss? Usually is half the angle of the existing roof. In other words if you have a 4/12 pitch on the roof the bottom chord should be 2/12 pitch then tie them together as you did with the connecting web bracing.

Roofs been great, no creaking or sag Just went up and put new skylight panels in with worry I dont remember the way i got to the measurements I watched many videos and talked with many people who agreed everything was fine

If you read the clear coat it says to wait 72 hours to apply to newly coated surfaces. You waited only 4 hours which is what the epoxy paint said to do (only if you were recoating) you have to let it cure before adding a different type of product (epoxy paint vs water based acrylic)

What short runner is that you are using? I went through the air to air vs water to air dilemma just like you. I started with water to air, but there is just to much going on, so I have made air to air work all within the confines of the engine compartment. I got a 110a valeo alternator off another vehicle as it was 1" narrower in diameter, plus I ditched the oem bracket and made my own so it now sits closer to the engine block. I have had a 12v VRT in a MK1 for 20 years now, I don't know what happened to all that time lol.

Its just a stock lower with a 4” tube i believe welded on I notched the bottom of the tube a ton to clear fans Im not happy with any of it lol but i just want to drive it at this point many years trying to get everything to work good/fit good enough Still having issues with many things im still sorting through

Bad grounding more than likely Trace them all back, also resistance test that specific wire to all ground points

Sweet caddy. I had 2 at one time and miss them and a 84 gti. On that truck keep a eye on those strut towers for rust. I found out there is drain holes under all that rubber undercoating on the bottom edge.
