I own both the R36S and K36 handhelds and like them both. Upgrading the sd card for the K36 improves software performance. I'm currently using modded stock firmware on the K36, which has network settings available and is more unlocked. The PSP emulator runs slightly better after changing some settings, and I rarely witness any stuttering while playing Tekken Dark Resurrection.

Unfortunately, at the moment it is not possible to install ArkOS on EmuELEC clones, so you should avoid buying such consoles.

If I can be honest they r36s is in my opinion considered the best but I will still stick with the k36 simply because of giving it a try and just trying to work out the edges to truly enjoy what it got to offer but if I still have to be honest I'll still go with the r36s. I'll look into getting more better software for the k36 just to see how far I can go with it

Yes, I often hear such reviews about LEDs in the middle of consoles that it is unpleasant for the eyes, but to be honest I do not feel any discomfort. I will take this factor into account in future reviews.
