For the R50 Mini you have to invert the electronics.... at least i had to. Than it worked.

Do exactly as the video goes and you’ll be good also to up the volume press the music note button until you get to aux volume and you’ll be able to up it the max is 5 :)

I press that music note button and it doesn't get to the Aux Volume. Also, I can't get the Aux message while pressing the Mode button. It only shows radio (FM and AM) and CD. I have read that I need to install some resistors and capacitors in the Aux cable... Way too complicated for a 2005 car that should be plug-and-play!! Any help is appreciated.

@@setidepp4853 I am thinking of buying the same kit. Are you sure you have the exact same original but high-spec (Alpine), radio? I have a lower-spec original radio (Siemens) and will also buy the Alpine unit second hand, then I hope I don't have your problem.

The plastic under the wheel doesn’t come off… I removed the clip from the left side but on the right side something holds it. Prob another clip to which I don’t have access to.

How’s the connection now man? I just bought my first mini and loving her but don’t want to loose the classic aesthetic just like yours but want to listen to high quality tunes while driving. Yes thats was playing through the car using bluetooth. as long as you have it connected it should turn on and off when the car turns on and off.

I couldn’t get this to work, not sure why. I’ve got an r53 from mid 2002 and it has a cassette player instead of a CD player like yours. Any ideas on why would be much appreciated, thanks.

Are you using the same equipment. Once you plug in the aux and connect to bluetooth when you scroll through the modes it should now give the option for aux.

Aux not blurooth. Bluetooth needs a power source , what wires do I tap for power n ground

The device I have on the description allows Bluetooth all i did was connect the micro usb cable using the l2V Car Auto Cigarette Lighter. When the car is off it cuts power to the lighter which then turns off the Bluetooth after a while. When you turn on the car it turn the power on for the lighter and automatically turns on the Bluetooth. If your phone has Bluetooth on then it will automatically connect every time.
