On Saturday the 13th of July, Steamrail Victoria ran R761 on a private charter to Seymour and back. This would mark R761's return to the mainline after recently undergoing a major boiler work over the summer period and early 2019.
The train consisted of a mix of carriages, both from Steamrail and 707 Operations. 707 Operations generously lent club cars 708BK and "Victoria" (Club car 1), to run alongside Steamrail's "Moorabool" club car and 600BK.
Something else that should be noted, is that the trip would stand as a final farewell, to a well known and respected Vline driver; Simon Jones.
