yeah looking back on things, they had a HUGE undertaking going from 2d to 3d and the art direction + customization in these games was insanely good. but obviously that would have to lead to cutting back somewhere else...... which leads to cut content and difficulty. i respect what they were doing with X and Y, whereas with gens 8 and 9 it usually feels much more barren and soulless

@@nbkarkatI think this was the game that needed a 3rd edition the most, much like what Platinum was from Diamond, Pearl, and even the remakes. A lot of the main battles were so easy, I decided to do another run without the exp share on, just so I wasn’t overleveled. But still, what we got was still nice. Easily 3rd favorite for me.

The bad parts of x and y are just the missed potential and poor execution of the ideas which is somewhat understandable since it’s the first time they tried this to be clear I did love these games, as a kid and I’m still pretty neutral on them.

Thoughts on seeing shiny reactions I'm not to sure I understand the question I honestly don't have much of a reaction myself when hunting unless it's a very unexpected shiny when I'm looking for a shiny I tend to just buckle in and wait I'm pretty low energy when it happens more of a relief

Gamefreak made the best online of any Pokemon and have never come close to it again pretty insane that’s the only reason I remember y so fondly it’s the first time you can interact with the whole world in a simple way and then sun and moon ruined it with the plaza or whatever don’t even get me started on sword and shield needing Nintendo online

@@R9beats funny enough, I got stuck at the furfrou puzzle during my first playthrough, since little me didn’t read the instructions or something and my attention span was about the size of a pea. Omega Ruby was the first Pokémon game I ever beat. To elaborate on how ridiculous this is, this was around the same time I was halfway through Xcom: Enemy Unknown with no research upgrades, and Xcom is a tough game even WITH upgrades lol

The worst games are actually the gen 3 games the only problems i had with x y was the megas were to over powered and way less limited that what i liked about scarlet and violet u had only one use until u healed again makeing u think when u should use it or not
