Love your work mate, exactly the video I was looking for. Can you add to the Title this is the same for a 2008-2012 Dmax too. Cheers Thankyou

I love these helpful videos. I've just bought an '07 RA and I'm not a mechanics arsehole so understanding simple tasks I can do myself at home with bugger all prior knowledge is a godsend! Thanks for taking the time to show it, it certainly helps the uneducated like myself have a little more confidence in tackling some jobs and saving some coin!

I love it... excellent video... there is a million ways that one could do it differently... but made me lough, because it's the exact way I would do it... grab what ever tool is closest and most handy at the time that gets the job done and that's it. It's not brain surgery, who cares. Just an average Joe took the time and just enough effort to make a helpful video for other average Joes. Excellent breakdown of analysis of how things come apart and how they can be put together right and wrong. Thanks mate.

Hi Gav. 14:23 I can tell you they are all buggered from day 1! All RA, RA7, RC Colorado, Series 1 DMax have rubbish factory shocks. Please note that the shock DOES NOT HELP THE RIDE HEIGHT / SPRING / TORSION BAR etc. The only reason SOME shocks pump themselves up is the small amount of nitrogen used to help PREVENT the oil within the shock from aeration ( frothing /foaming ) with then makes the shock useless. The mechanic may have seen that the upper and lower bushings looked OK and they were not leaking therefore assumed they were still serviceable ( I have seen these last over 330,000km and still not leak ) Side note: I am now trialling a full set of AUSTRALIS shocks on my old RA Rodeo 4wd. These shocks have so far proven to be by far the cheapest and longest travel available ( VS Old Man Emu, Tough Dog, KONI, MONROE, PEDDERS) and have stacked up well so far in their ride quality.PS buy some tools ya clown :) Cheers n beers

Nice job. The only thing wrong is that the bolts should be tightened with the wheel on and vehicle on the ground. The rubber bushings, especially the bottom ones will be twisted otherwise.

Hey Daniel I don’t have a Jack only will ramps. I did the back shockers on the ramps ok, do you reckon it’ll be okay to do the front shock the same as the rear is,on the ramp? or do I need a Jack so that there is no weight on the wheel?

Job got done didn't it? What are all those things called that I used? That was also my mate's shed dickhead. Just remember you're the one who had to go looking on KZbin to do this simple task before you start laughing at people. Fuckwit.
