Is Raag Prateeksha very close to Raag Bhupeshwari? - मराठी गीत: 'मालवून टाक दीप'. संगीत: हृदयनाथ मंगेशकर. गायिका: भारत रत्न लता दीदी 🙏 Please pardon me if I am wrong! I am only a "Kansen" and sadly I cannot understand technicalities of Music. I only get mesmerized, hypnotized and captured by Hindustani Classical music rendered by these maestros!

Raag Prateeksha is another name for Raag Bhupeshwari (aka Raag Bhupkali). You're highly trained ears are pointing you to the right direction :)

I am also a kansen &, not having come across raga Bhupeshwari mentioned by you, I felt that the Marathi geet mentioned by you must be set in this raga 'Prateeksha' itself! Now, I will try to familiarize myself with raga Bhupeshwari.

That is correct. Raag prateeksha is also called raag bhupkali or raag bhupeshwari. The Carnatic equivalent of raag prateeksha is ragam vasanthi. Boththe bandishes are composed by Ashwini Bhide Deshpande herself. The first bandish is set to neel taal, a 7 1/2 matra taal and the second bandish is set to teental.
