Yes, there are similarities in their mood. But Nikhilda belonged to a different genre, a little above all his contemporaries due to his purist, self-absorbed, divine renditions. Of course, this is a personal opinion.

Pt. Manilal Nag was one of the rare artists of his generation who could pull our heart strings. His rendering of Saraswati is an example of his very aesthetic and sweet music.
